Earlier today we published this blog about Bridgewater State University professor Garrett Avila-Nichols posting “FUCK ANYONE who voted for Donald Trump” and “You are no longer welcome” here if you do, on his Facebook page.
He also said that Trump voters are all klansmen:
And most recently posted that if you voted for Trump, you have “blood on your hands.”
Obviously no student who voted for Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, could ever feel comfortable in his class. How could they? He made it very clear with his own words – YOU ARE NOT WELCOME HERE. Oh, and FUCK ANYONE WHO VOTED FOR TRUMP. He’s teaching an English class where opinionated writing assignments are required. Obviously if you have an opinion that is right leaning, you can expect to be treated with hostility at best by Professor Avila-Nichols if you expressed those opinions in a paper.
We figured this Jared from Subway doppleganger would be swiftly terminated, or at least put on leave while the school investigated. Instead they did this:
Translation – we’re not doing shit because we’re cool with with what he did.
“A member of our campus community made statements on his personal social media account that do not represent our institutional values of civility and respect.”
Yet they are taking NO ACTION whatsoever against him!!!! So what good are you bullshit “values” if they’re not enforceable?
This is insane. Apparently BSU will let their professors write ANYTHING on social media. So I guess if a professor said “FUCK ANYONE who voted for Obama,” and said that they were not welcomed in his class, he’d still have a job.
Oh wait, no they wouldn’t. It’s almost as if there’s a complete double standard in our society. Where Curt Schilling gets fired at ESPN for sharing his political views on Twitter, and Jemele Hill gets to keep her job after calling Trump a white nationalist. It’s crystal clear at this point – as long as you’re shitting on Trump, all rules are suspended.
Hey Bridgewater State, instead of this meaningless meme why don’t you just come out and say it – you not only allow discrimination and intimidation of students based on their political beliefs, you encourage your faculty to do this.
Looks like this is going over well:
Even liberal Hillary supporters see how wrong it is. You don’t have to be conservative to know that it’s not even remotely acceptable for an adult in a position of authority to demean and discriminate against students like this. The message is loud and clear – students who voted for Trump are not welcomed at Bridgewater State. A professor wrote those words, and his bosses stood by him.
The President of BSU is Frederick W. Clark:
This bootleg Mitt Romney fully supports and endorses Professor Nichols. He is choosing to side with him over students and their parents who are paying both he and the professor’s salary. BSU is a state school so we’re all chipping in too.
Unacceptable. Whatever you do, DO NOT flood this guy’s email tomorrow to let him know that discipline must be taken against this bully:
And definitely DO NOT flood BSU’s Facebook page with bad reviews either. That would be bad.
Honestly though, take a couple minutes out of your day tomorrow to send this blog and the original to every conservative media outlet you know or follow. I’d say send it to the liberal ones too, but me thinks they’re a little busy working on the Russia thing still. Tucker Carlson, Milo, Steven Crowder, the Kuhner Report, Ben Shapiro, Michele McPhee, Ben Shapiro, Matt Walsh, Ben Shapiro….whoever. This story is right up their alley. As big as a Turtleboy reaction is, it gets a lot bigger when you start bringing those people in. Just bombard them relentlessly on Twitter and Facebook and they’ll see it.
The bottom line is that everyone has a right to their own political opinions. But not everyone is going to agree with you. And no matter how virtuous and righteous you think your cause is, the people who disagree with you feel the same way about their’s. Adults respect each other’s differences and agree to disagree. Children unworthy of a job as a college professor tell those they disagree with that they are Nazis, KKK, and not welcomed here. As of right now the message from BSU is that they allow bullies like this to teach at their institution of higher learning.
