In the Telegram and Gazette today their ongoing interviews with City Council candidates focused on five time incumbent Kate Toomey. We can’t get a good read on Kate Toomey because she literally never says anything of substance. She hasn’t joined the Dicky Rushton, Reverend Rivera “fuck the po-olice” crowd, but at the same time she seems to be to spineless to align herself with more “controversial” councilors like Gary Rosen and Michael Gaffney.
Basically it seems like her goal is to play it cool, not piss anyone and cruise to re-election again. And who can blame her? It’s worked out well so far, as she finished in second place last time.
But that was before Turtleboy existed. That was before all you had to do to win an election was stand in Newton Square with a sign. And now the people of Worcester can no long accept such fence sitting. Either you stand with the people for law and order, or you stand with the hippies for gross corruption, anti-police and anti-teacher rhetoric, and the never ending use of the race card. Toomey’s answers in her interview spoke for themselves. First she said this:
“I’m the one that tries to bring people together,” she said. “You need stability, and someone who’s willing to listen to people, and to be accessible, and to be consistent. I’m there.”
AKA, I stand for absolutely nothing. Hey Kate, I dunno if you’ve figured this out yet, but we don’t want councilors who are “willing to listen” to the people who have held this city hostage for years. The City Council meeting where Julius Jones was kicked out for threatening a city councilor, and Joe Petty completely lost control of the circus in the chambers, should’ve tipped you off that these people are not to be taken seriously. Stop trying to please them. Stop trying to listen to them. Do what Konnie Lukes did and stand up and tell them to shut up or replace you.

Then she tossed this in there:
“We forget what we have,” said Mrs. Toomey, looking out over the pond and fairways on a sunny summer afternoon. “Instead of focusing on the negative, let’s talk about the good positive things.
“We have these jewels in the city. We have museums that are world-renowned. We have wonderful theater. We have groups of people who work together to make culture thrive. We have the park where the symphony plays. There is so much here there are some nights I can’t fit it all in.
“We need to take a step back and instead of focusing on the negative, let’s talk about the positive. For instance, North High: Everybody is focusing on a small number of kids. (Yet) at the St Patrick’s Day parade the first thing I see is the Junior ROTC, these wonderful young people, hundreds of them, who do great things every day.
“There are hundreds of these kids versus maybe 50 or 60 really tough kids citywide. That’s just at North High. Who’s talking about those great kids and what they’re doing? We have more positive than we have negative.”
Oh sweet baby Jesus. Yea, let’s all draw rainbows and have a group hug while we’re at it. I mean, who wants to focus on the daily shootings or the fact that all four principals at North got punched in the face this year? Who wants to focus on the fact that our government is handing out money to illegal organizations so they can distribute it to racist rabble rousers like Mike Jerry, Nathan Pickens, and RBG, in order to fund their poetry trips and make believe hypertension treatment?
Those things aren’t fun. If she focused on those things she’d be accused of being a racist. And obviously she cares way too much about her image to take a risk like that. But more than ever we need politicians who are risk takers, instead of people who wanna draw rainbows and unicorns. We need people like Gaffney who aren’t afraid to tell the truth and fight for the people and transparent government. If the hippies don’t like it, they can endorse their own candidates and try to get them elected. That’s how a democracy works.
Look, I agree we should be celebrating the good in our city. The assholes are a small minority indeed. But it doesn’t mean we should ignore the bad guys and pretend they don’t exist by focusing on the good guys. We should be trying to make this city a better place for those ROTC kids at North High, so they can get an education in a peaceful environment without it being disrupted by savages who wish to cause destruction and mayhem.
We will be announcing our Turtleboy ticket this week. Sneak preview – Kate Toomey won’t be on it. We only want courageous and dynamic leaders who aren’t afraid to take a stand and fight for the citizens of Worcester.

Seeing that picture is like watching just about every advertisement on TV where companies shamelessly pander to every race by including one of every ethic group imaginable in their ad. Nothing worse than an ad that takes place with all the neighbors in a house or yard and looks like the United Nations. It’s insulting because you know a group of executive level dolts in a conference room thinks it makes the company appear to be just so multicultura, worldly, and not racist. Kate is apparently following the same rediculous logic.

Kate strategy has worked for many years, until “the summer of love” and the takeover by thugs and gangs.

You know that the City Councilors had nothing to do with which trees were removed, right? That call is made by the state/federal agencies, mainly either the USDA and more locally the MA DCR.
I don’t have an opinion either way but calling the woman a fat cunt doesn’t seem like the most productive way to deal with your trees.
And which one of the Mosaic Cultural Crazies, Community Useless Collective, layabout hippies put down their blunt long enough to type that horrible reply to try to reflect negatively on Turtleboy. Gee, we haven’t seen the “make a vile comment and make it appear they are someone who supports Turtleboy” tactic before. What’s next? Make fake Turtleboy Sports website or Facebook page?
Kate Toomey needs to get her head out of her (albeit thinner) bum and wake up. Yes, there are fewer bad apples in our schools however, those 10% take up 90% of the time and resources leaving the good apples to fend for themselves.
