The fact that David Njuguna’s trial is going to turn into a referendum on weed, instead of the fact that he intentionally killed Trooper Clardy, is a slap in the face to the family and the millions of people who voted to legalize marijuana.

Boston.com: A judge won’t dismiss charges against a man accused of driving under the influence of marijuana and causing a crash on the Massachusetts Turnpike that killed a state trooper. In a ruling issued Wednesday, a Worcester judge denied a motion to dismiss several of the charges against 30-year-old David Njuguna, of Webster. Njuguna has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter and related offenses in the March 16 death of 44-year-old Trooper Thomas Clardy. Authorities say Clardy had stopped a car for a traffic violation when his cruiser was hit by Njuguna’s vehicle in Charlton. Witnesses say Njuguna’s car had swerved across all three travel lanes without slowing. Njuguna’s lawyer had argued that several charges are “duplicative” and there was insufficient evidence to support the charge alleging Njuguna had used marijuana.
Yup, this is what we were worried about. Trooper Clardy’s good name is going to be smeared by turning it into a public referendum on weed. Newsflash – David Njuguna didn’t kill Trooper Clardy because he was high. He did it because he’s a cold-blooded murderer. He veered across three lanes of traffic and crashed into the Trooper’s stationary vehicle. He even straightened the wheel at the last minute so that he hit him directly from behind. That’s an act of premeditation. Weed didn’t make him do that. Pure evil did.
How can ANYONE possibly think this was an accident? Let’s just look at this from a statistical standpoint. Do you know what the odds of this are? He was doing a 50 mile commute from Springfield to the 290 exit. That’s over 250,000 feet of pavement. And it just so happened that when his car went into a skid he veered into the 12 feet of highway where Trooper Clardy’s stationary vehicle just happened to be? How is that even remotely plausible? That’s like a needle in a haystack. THAT should be the case right there.
But instead the state is trying to turn this case about weed. Because they’re letting politics get in the way of law and order. They know weed is a hot topic right now because the people of Massachusetts just voted to legalize it, and DA’s like Joe Early are using stories like this for their fear mongering campaign against this harmless plant. It’s a slap in the face to the family and the millions of people who voted to legalize weed.

This clown will probably get probation too, like the eye gouger bandit.
This article was clearly written while under the influence. Yikes
What about straight up vehicular homicide??
Of course. Yes. I’m not saying the guy should go free. I’m saying he wouldn’t be convicted on hatred, so they will say it was weed. Could have been both. Who knows?
Doesn’t make any difference, if it is pot, heroin, alcohol, cocaine, they’re all drugs. He was stoned and killed a trooper. He should be given the max possible. Now they have to prove it, with pot it’s much more difficult than alcohol.
“Obama adds two national monuments in Utah and Nevada … President Obama established two areas in southern Nevada and Utah as national monuments, adding to his environmental legacy … As President Obama nears the end of his eight-year tenure in the White House, he once again designated two new swaths of land as national monuments.
In a statement released on Wednesday, Mr. Obama said that his decision intends to “protect some of our country’s most important cultural treasures, including abundant rock art, archaeological sites, and lands considered sacred by Native American tribes.”
The newly created Bears Ear National Monument, which covers approximately 1.35 million acres in southeast Utah, protects the land from further development, while the Gold Butte National Monument similarly protects 300,000 acres in southwest Nevada.

Democrat President Obama and Democrat John Kerry want Israel to withdraw from lands that their enemies attacked them from. However, in the mid-1840s, Democratic Party officials ordered the invasion of Mexico for no reason at all except to increase the land available for slavery. The Democrats were opposed by the Whigs.
Democrat President James Polk invaded Mexico for no reason, other than “chattel slavery, set the stage for America’s invasion of Mexico”, according to Amy S. Greenberg, page xviii, in her book about the Mexican War, titled “A Wicked War”.
So Obama, instead of giving West Texas, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and California back to Mexico, is doing everything he can to secure these conquered lands to the U.S.A., while he is demanding that Israel surrender its conquered lands to their implacable enemies, the Jew-hating Muslims.
What a hypocrite these Democrats are.

Correct!
I heard Trump is planning on returning West Texas, Nevada, Utah, Arizona and California to Mexico instead of building a wall so the U.S. would not appear hypocritical to the Israelis. (end sarcasm)
The original intention of the Democrats was to take all of Mexico. How can Democrats criticize Israel for taking part of Palestinian territory if Democrats were going to take over a complete neighboring nation? That is imperialism, don’t you think?

I don’t think you can say Njuguna intentionally killed Trooper Clardy anymore than you can say weed was the culprit. Nobody knows, but it’s more believable that he was under the influence than a cold-blooded killer. Easier to “prove.” If his defense is that he was NOT under the influence, then one HAS to assume SOMETHING other than weed caused the accident. Hatred would be impossible to prove, so they are going with something that WILL stick. Weed.
@Moby Dick… Not sure it would be possible to be wrong if you tried.
Nice try. But when you intentionally drive a vehicle under the influence drugs, everything you is therefore intentional.
Don’t you people get that what I’m saying is that hatred would be hard to prove, so they are blaming weed? Wow….judgemental audience. LOL
