Last year we wrote about how Hampton Beach was the Walmart of New England beaches. That was proven this past week with this story….
Source: An unruly crowd of 300 people surrounded police at Hampton Beach last Wednesday, police said, after an 18-year-old male was arrested for fighting near the Seashell Stage.
The group of beachgoers was responding to the arrest of John Cruz, 18, of Manchester, at approximately 6:36 p.m., according to Hampton Deputy Police Chief David Hobbs. Police allege Cruz was the aggressor in a fight with three other people. He was Tased after he allegedly attempted to resist arrest, police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, then released on personal recognizance bail.
Cruz’s arrest drew a reaction from several groups of people in the area, many who were perceived to be intoxicated after drinking on the beach from open containers that day, according to Hobbs. An Instagram video of Cruz’s arrest shows a large group of people yelling as they surrounded the officer and Cruz. Hobbs said it is difficult to tell what the people were chanting, but he believes it may have been, “Let him go.”
The large group was momentarily dispersed by police, but it regrouped at about 7 p.m. to surround Cruz’s arresting officer after the teen had been placed in a cruiser and brought to the Hampton police station. The officer received backup from two other Hampton officers as the crowd chanted and threw objects at them, police said.
One officer was struck with a football in the back of the neck and was sent to Portsmouth Regional Hospital, but he was released from the hospital that night, police said. The three Hampton officers called for assistance from New Hampshire State Police and Seabrook police, who increased the police’s numbers to about 12 officers. Hobbs said police were equipped with pepper spray and prepared to use it but did not. The officers were able to quell the group by 9 p.m., Hobbs said.
Hobbs said it was difficult to make more arrests because of how unruly the crowd had become. The deputy chief said Hampton’s officers acted commendably in the face of an aggressive crowd.
“This is a family beach, and we’re not going to tolerate that type of behavior,” Hobbs said. “A response from the Police Department was outstanding, the professionalism they displayed.”
One word – Trump.
This is why Donald Trump is a thing. Because this is the culture that has been created in America. This didn’t happen 10 years ago, but it seems to happen all the time now. Whenever some asshole from Manchester gets arrested there are always a million and one dooshnozzles with their iPhone, which they just cashed in for food stamps, taping the cops every move and harassing them. No one supports police anymore. No one respects them. But thanks to our leaders a culture has been created where mistrusting and taping the police is a thing everyone does now. I don’t necessarily think Trump would have the power to fix this, but the message would be sent nonetheless – we’re not taking shit from you assholes anymore and we outnumber you.
I mean, just look at these pictures. Once the cop had this McMuffin in cuffs the crowd started surrounding him, led by the fat white kid who was too insecure to take his shirt off:
And then the rest of them started doing the Haverhill “free my boi” rain dance
Two words – work camp.
This was my favorite line from the cops: “This is a family beach.”
LOL. Yea, Hampton Beach is a family beach if your family is living in a trailer in West Virginia and everyone is having sex with their cousin. Because there is nothing about any of these images that says, “family”
I’d literally rather kill myself then ever going to Hampton Beach again.
