Here’s another reason I could never work with kids. That and the fact that I generally don’t like children that aren’t my own.
So in October of 2015 during a senior rally where there were streamers, noisemakers, and silly string being thrown around, Kelsey Zell alleges she was struck in the head with the edge of a cell phone by a senior, Rachael McGinley, with whom she shared an ex-boyfriend. Rachael says Kelsey shot silly string directly into her face and provoked the attack. Kelsey was left with a concussion and her family says she now has a seizure disorder that doctors say resulted from the concussion.
The Zells are suing a ridiculous amount of people, from the school board to the school district lawyer to Rachael McGinley. They accuse the school of trying to cover themselves instead of seeking medical attention for Kelsey and they want their daughter’s 1 day suspension (both girls were suspended for 1 day) to be removed from her academic record.
I don’t know what exactly happened, but one thing I do know is the Zells take a mob worthy family photo.
This is junior smokeshow Kelsey:
She looks like every girl in high school that drove me to sit in the backyard lathered in baby oil and Sun In.
This is Rachael McGinley:
Oh man, so much drama I don’t even know which side is up. Supposedly this fight came about due to a shared ex-boyfriend. Ladies, when will you learn? Fuck that drama, there are plenty more dicks in the sea.
The school hasn’t released the video so who knows what actually transpired in that hallway, but the school isn’t settling the case and will be disputing the Zells’ claims in court. Schools don’t usually stand up and fight unless they have some kind of evidence to dispute the claim, don’t you think?
Here’s what people are saying from varying threads in the Facebook galaxy:
Anyone out there familiar with this case? Know the ladies involved? Chime in!
