So if you haven’t heard the news, the Worcester Police were called to the Pennywise on the corner of Main and May Street on Wednesday and were forced to use a taser on an out of control man who was trashing the place and trying to assault officers. He died today. Our thoughts on this are very, very simple – the police did the right thing and anyone who thinks otherwise is a poopsmooch.

Here’s a run down of what we know happened:

  • Wilmer Delgado-Soba, 38 of Fitchburg, was going on a rampage inside the Pennywise, destroying items and causing a huge disruption.
  • Police were called and tried to calm the man down several times by talking to him, but he was unresponsive.
  • When police asked him to leave the store he began to charge at them and start swinging. At this point he was tased, but it appeared to have little effect.
  • The owner of the store says that the police tried everything they could to talk the man down, believes they were given no choice but to tase the man, and even then said that it took three police officers to subdue him.
  • While on the stretcher to the hospital her tried to attack medics several times.
  • The police believe he was on drugs.
  • He died later on, but there has been no autopsy to firmly declare what the cause of death was.
  • He has a past history of violence with a case worker in 2008:

Seems like a pretty open and shut case. I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the man was on a bender and/or he’s got a mental illness. Those are the culprits here. It’s obviously unfortunate that this man had to die. But mental illness and drug abuse are problems that are going to plague humanity for the rest of time. All the social programs in the world won’t be able to stop it from happening.

As for the police, they just play the hand they’re dealt. Their number one job every night is to come home alive. They don’t know if the guy acting insane inside a store has a knife or a gun, and they shouldn’t have to find out the hard way. It’s really simple – when the police tell you to do something, you do it. If you choose not to listen to them, you’re taking a big gamble and there’s a chance you might die. Don’t wanna die? Do what the police ask you to do. Boom. Police brutality solved.

My biggest problem is with the way the Telegram chose to headline their story on it:

Screen Shot 2015-07-30 at 2.50.14 PM

Shot with taser? Is that even proper English? Isn’t the verb they are looking for “tased” not “shot?” Typical Telegram and Gazette being page view whores. It’s what they do best. They obviously wrote that title to get people all juiced up about a police shooting. Luckily we’ve been immune to this, but you know KNOW the hippies are looking for a reason to blame this on the police. If they get the hippies going they might protest. And if the hippies protest it will lead to pageviews. But please, keep telling us how Turtleboy Sports is the clickbait.

Look what RBG already posted on the Communities United Collective (AKA Mosaic Cultural Complex) Facebook page already:

Screen Shot 2015-07-30 at 2.58.06 PM

Classic. These people literally LIVE to make the job of the police a million times harder. The CUC Facebook is updated like 30 times a day with anti-cop propaganda, because you KNOW RBG hasn’t had a job in years. Might as well scour the internet looking for a reason to second guess the police. But the answer to his question is simple – yes, property damage constitutes force. Because asking nicely and saying pretty please turned out to be ineffective.

As for assholes of the day, it goes to these two buttnuts:

Richard Poole is the worst hippie you’ve never heard about. His “fuck the police” policy is pretty much representative of the idiots we’ve been pandering to for the last nine months now. I’d pay good money to watch this genius try to be a cop for one day. Guarantee the first guy who gets lippy with him makes him shit his pants and he shoots the bastard in self-defense.

The bottom line is, it doesn’t really matter what happened in that store. No matter what an aggressive civilian is dead and a police officer had something to do with it. The hippies don’t need any more information than that. Prepare for the protests, and we’ll see you at 41 Piedmont Street for milk and cookies afterwards!!!

The truth will be reveled, I’m guessing meth or coke ingested in ways it definatley shouldn’t be. Then I’m going to sit back and have a great laugh with turtle boys follow up article, because you are the best writer ever! And enjoy the fact that their is one less douche around to hurt people.

So far it sounds like the Police acted with remarkable restraint. Once again a case that screams out for re-opening the asylums. Sometimes mental health treatment requires secure facilities. Good job WPD !

    Simple question for Joanne Rivera:
You said” “That still didn’t give the officers the right to taser the man”
At which point, in your mind, would it have been acceptable to utilize the taser?

I think you are an absolute moron and I hope you do not reproduce.

Jill, I absolutely could not agree with you more!!! When is the appropriate time to use force? After he murders someone? The fact is that this guy was a menace to society in every facet. He contributed nothing but misery and anger towards his fellow man with no regard for the sanctity of life. No accountability or discretion for his actions and according to these leftist hippie scumbags, he was as precious as a winter rose who’s life should’ve been honored and revered. Can you feel my anger? I just don’t understand the mentality or their reasoning. Of course this is my opinion, I could be wrong.

The cops at the scene as we now it did everything that they could do short of kissing this assholes ass to calm him down. So the asshole wants to fight everybody in sight because there are too many hairs across his ass. And he is a young man so we are not talking about taking down Sean Connery. Now there are three cops on the scene. The asshole now wants to fight three cops and not comply in any way toward efforts from the cops to calm the fuck down. The physicality continues then in the force continuum policy that all law enforcement has you engage taser in an effort to end the confrontation in an effort to not use deadly force. Meaning shot the fucking prick. It is that simple folks. Unfortunately this dude died but the ME’s office will determine the actual cause of death but my money is on anything but the taser. More like PCP or anything drug related.

The taser is probably less lethal than whatever drugs the guy was on and less lethal than his lifestyle in general for that matter. What’s a guy from the dirty burg tweaking in Worcester for in the first place? Worcester should retaliate against Fithburg and give out one way bus tickets plus twenty dollars to any junkee wanting to summer in Cleghorn.

So, if Woo PD are a bunch of indiscriminate killers, then why are RBG, JBP, Boom-Boom and Junior Smokeshow Conner, Joyce McDickles, Old Saggy Balls, and (insert Woo Hippie of your choosing here) still alive? If I were a Woo cop, the TurtleBoySports list of worst hippies would serve as a perfect “hit list” for people who once put on “eternal silence” would eliminate a lot of problems our defenders in blue face.

Here’s why. Because none of the the assholes on that list have the balls to actually see the world from the perspective of a felon. These people act as if a misdemeanor charge involving a mere fine is like getting 50 hard on the Rock. That’s why you get shit like

    • July 30, 2015 at 5:30 pm

      This from these people.

I’m going to have to disagree with you on one point. Plenty of people on that list see the world from the perspective of a felon they just may not have been convicted yet. I don’t know a thing about the hippies except ODB because I’ve been reading his keen observations forever but there’s no doubt there’s at least a misdemeanor or two amongst them. I can’t wait to see how this audit goes. We may see some felons come out of that.

What these hippies don’t realize is that you can’t shit on the police for everything and also expect improvement. If you want a department to change for the better, then you call them out when they screw up and GIVE THEM PROPS when they get it right, which is most of the time and clearly what happened here.

Given the information on this incident released so far, there is no reason to believe WPD did anything wrong. They got this one right, hippies, now show you’re not a bunch of clownshoes and attention whores for a change and give credit where it’s due.

It’s a no win situation for the cops..if they shot him they would’ve been screaming why didn’t they use a taser…

      It’s a no win.

If they shot him and he died the the hippies would blame the cops.
If they tazed him and he died the hippies would blame the cops.
If they simply tried to restrain him and he died, the hippies would blame the cops.
If they just let the guy go and he hurt himself or someone else, the hippies would blame the cops.

These people like to act like being mentally ill or off your meds is an excuse for anything. What difference does that make? The bottom line is that he was in a public place, being crazy acting violently and clearly has a history of violence. When you act like that in public, it is the police’s job to protect the public from you. Hes lucky they just tased him. When he charged at the officers, they were well within their rights to shoot him.

The Worcester police have a war on their hands. It sounds like they followed protocol, and it’s not their fault this guy was all hopped up on amphetamines. If this guy was at work and got tazered by police, perhaps we could look twice at the circumstances. But he’s high and or mentally ill, in main south causing a ruckus, and he got dealt with accordingly. Survival of the fittest at its finest.

Now if it was me (a middle-class white man) who was absolutely out of control and assaulting the police, do you think these racist scumbags would be tweeting or showing any support towards me while chastising the cops for doing absolutely what we in society expect them to do? Of course not.
Cops are dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t. It seems as if these subservient leftist fools are lobbying for anarchy. They can’t control themselves with a heavy police presence. Imagine how bad it would be without.
Amazing! Of course this is my opinion I could be wrong.
