Conservatives LOVE charter schools because they get the biggest hard on ever when they think they’re sticking it to teacher’s unions. Literally nothing gets them more aroused then when they think they’re helping to dismantle these communist conspiracies destroying public education. But what they don’t realize is that charter schools are nothing more than far left SJW brainwashing factories that cost the taxpayers millions and millions of dollars a year. For more proof of that check out what this charter school in Holyoke did today:

Students, staff and faculty at Paulo Freire Social Justice Charter School had the day off Wednesday in honor of International Women’s Day. Officials at the charter school in Holyoke decided the school would be closed to allow the school community to participate in ‘A Day Without A Woman’ activities, whether that mean simply staying home or attending marches and rallies. A group of teachers and students at the social justice charter attended the march through downtown Northampton Wednesday. Brenda Cepeda, a behavioral specialist at the school who spoke at the Northampton rally, said canceling school for the day was inline with the charter’s mission.

“A third of our teachers are women and we decided we wanted to participate,” she said.

Yes, that’s right. It’s called the Paula Freire Social Justice Charter School. We wrote about them when they organized anti-police, anti-Trump rallies with students.

Taxpayers fund this because idiot conservatives fell for the myth that Holyoke schools are “failing” because of teacher’s unions. They created this monster. The irony of it all.

Ya know what didn’t close in Massachusetts today? Any public schools. Because unlike charter schools, public schools don’t have free reign to arbitrarily cancel school because some of their teachers don’t feel like working. The best part about this is that they work in a field where salary is determined by how long they’ve been there, coupled with their education. There’s nothing in any teacher’s contract that mentions receiving a step raise on account of a penis.

This is Brenda Cepeda, the “behavioral specialist” at the charter school who demanded that she be given a paid day off from work, and she was interviewed by WWLP News and basically showed just how stupid the people are who work at these charter schools:

““We want to be equal. Equal in pay, equal in decisions. It took us a long time to get where we’re at right now, and we have ways to go, so this is really important to us.”

Oh. My. God. Someone this brainless and idiotic teaches children. Because public school teachers are the ones that are bad at their jobs. Sweet baby Jesus, you can’t make this stuff up. Newsflash ding-dong – you are equal. Not one person at that rally gets paid less than men for equal work. Equal in decisions? You decided there wouldn’t be school. On a Wednesday. And your bosses gave into you. It took YOU a long time to get where we’re at? No, it took other people a long time. You’re just reaping the benefits of it. And no, you do not have a ways to go, because you are equal in ever sense of the law.

Of course this is hardly the only charter school in Massachusetts that’s pulled a stunt like this. In Worcester we have the Seven Hills Charter School where teachers made their students hold signs indicating microagressions that had been spoken to them. Only to find out shortly afterwards that no one said any of those things to them, and all the signs were plagiarized directly from a Buzzfeed article.

Then there’s the New Bedford charter school that forced second graders to stand outside holding “black lives matter” signs, because Mike Brown got killed trying to take a gun from a cop.

So yea, I know when you think “charter school,” you instantly get a huge chub in your pants because you think you’re sticking it to the teacher’s unions. But all you’re really doing in Massachusetts is spending my taxpayer money on these SJW breeding grounds. Thanks assholes.

And for all you people who say, “well my kid went to a charter school, and it was great.” No, your kid went to a taxpayer funded private school that picks and chooses who gets to attend school there. You basically stole from the taxpayers because you didn’t wanna cough up the money to send your kid to St. John’s. Because just like St. John’s, charter schools are not open to the public because everyone who wants to go there can’t go there. They can kick out whoever they want. They don’t have to meet the requirements for days of school that public schools have to. They don’t have to take every kid on an IEP plan or with a behavior disorder. When you do these things you are not a public school. You’re a publicly funded private school.

So for all the conservatives out there who support charter schools, repeat after me – I AM A LIBERAL!! Just admit it. Because that’s what you are. You want the taxpayers to fund schools like this. You want MORE bureaucracy. You want social justice warriors to be able to create schools that aren’t accountable to an elected school committee, and are overseen by their appointed board of trustees. You can deny it all you want, but you are in fact a liberal.

TB, I’ve been trying to tell you all along that I’m a SJW. Did I not tell you I’ve been a registered democrat since age 18? Fact!

The October Revolution (Russian: Октя́брьская револю́ция, tr. Oktyabr’skaya revolyutsiya; IPA: [ɐkˈtʲabrʲskəjə rʲɪvɐˈlʲutsɨjə]), officially known in the Soviet literature as the Great October Socialist Revolution (Вели́кая Октя́брьская социалисти́ческая револю́ция, Velikaya Oktyabr’skaya sotsialističeskaya revolyutsiya), and commonly referred to as Red October, the October Uprising or the Bolshevik Revolution,[1] was a seizure of state power instrumental in the larger Russian Revolution of 1917. It took place with an armed insurrection in Petrograd on 25 October (7 November, New Style) 1917.

It followed and capitalized on the February Revolution of the same year, which overthrew the Tsarist autocracy and resulted in a provisional government after a transfer of power proclaimed by Grand Duke Michael, brother of Tsar Nicolas II, who declined to take power after the Tsar stepped down. During this time, urban workers began to organize into councils (Russian: Soviet) wherein revolutionaries criticized the provisional government and its actions. The October Revolution in Petrograd overthrew the provisional government and gave the power to the local soviets. The Bolshevik party was heavily supported by the soviets. After the Congress of Soviets, now the governing body, had its second session, it elected members of the Bolsheviks and other leftist groups such as the Left Socialist Revolutionaries to key positions within the new state of affairs. This immediately initiated the establishment of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic, the world’s first self-proclaimed socialist state.

The revolution was led by the Bolsheviks, who used their influence in the Petrograd Soviet to organize the armed forces. Bolshevik Red Guards forces under the Military Revolutionary Committee began the takeover of government buildings on 24 October 1917. The following day, the Winter Palace (the seat of the Provisional government located in Petrograd, then capital of Russia), was captured.

The problem with your analogy, TB, is that I can choose NOT to send my kid to the SJW brand of charter school. I can choose a charter school that fits my family’s needs and desires better.

Worcester public schools give you no choice if your kid can’t get into a charter.

This is why houses in Shrewsbury and Westboro cost nearly triple.

How about closing schools on opening day of deer season to celebrate a day without men while we are all out hunting that day.

They don’t close the schools in Wisconsin, but there is a very high rate of excused absences 🙂

Once public schools separate the students from the perps and categorize students by ability and performance the whole charter school thing will be a memory.

Charter schools are just a tool, and can be used in any direction… for ultra conservatives as a brainwashing factory or for SJW’s in the same way. It is also possible for it to be done neutrally – to throw them all in as one is a bit short-sighted, but so is pretending that it is the only way to fix a VERY flawed education system.

Not all charter schools are the same. Like AMSA (Advanced Math And Science Academy). Those kids do not deserve to put up with the public school bullshit from students, teachers & administrators. Those students need to be provided with more advanced classes than just the standard run-of-the-mill MCAS material offered in public schools. There ARE parents that do not have a large enough income to send their kids to private school. Should those kids be denied a better education than a public school offers?

NOT ALL charter schools are the same. If TB says this, then I guess all public schools could be grouped same/together as below standard performance that don’t teach beyond MCAS.

I love it when public school teachers ask for more money all the time. They whine “it’s not about they money – it’s about the students.” Uh… that’s not what TB is saying. He says it IS about money and they want it ALL. F*ck those smart kids.

I usually support TB on most subjects, but not this one. If he wants want to call those smart kids names and make fun of them — then go ahead. You protect your stupid townie money while producing stupid kids & thugs that can’t think for themselves beyond MCAS.

I don’t deserve to pay for your kid. Life’s not fair.

So I guess you don’t agree with paying for special education students to go to specialized schools either? They are not deserving because you don’t want to spend the money?? Some of special ed students cost a district over $75K a year (that includes transportation) per student. Or spending money to send students with more severe behavior problems to a specialized school?? NOT ALL STUDENTS are alike or learn the same way. One size does not fit all!!

BTW…. I am speaking out and standing FOR the kids that go to AMSA. Mine does not go that particular school — but I have absolutely NO problem with my tax dollars going towards those incredibly gifted students — just like I have NO problem sending others to specialized schools. None of these kids “fit” into a public school cookie cutter system.

I can’t…I can’t…I JUST CAN’T support this…….as a woman who THOUGHT wage equality happened in the 80’s…who believes women should be stay at home mom raising their children, a woman who thought it was crazy for SOMEONE to vote for Elizabeth Warren, who’s platform was “Equal Pay” (again, I THOUGHT happened that happened in the 80’s)…oh, has “her” “platform” happened yet?????? Okay, as a “somewhat” OPPRESSED “older” female, I am SICK of the “vaginas” representing ME & although I wore RED today, I support WOMEN, WHO have all together, do not wear VAGINA suits, work hard, moms, and are independent and DON’T have to succumbed themselves to the “modern” style of “being a woman” Give me a FUCKING BREAK!! I am REALLY ashamed of you!!! You, SO, don’t know what being a woman is about!! Fuck you!!
