Most of what is published in this blog was discussed last night on the Live show with my guest GI Turtle, a veteran who came on to dispute and/or question claims made by Benjamin Allbright. Watch and/or read what follows (and subscribe to our Soundcloud, iTunes, and YouTube channels so you never miss a show).
The other day we published a blog on Benjamin Allbright – the most self-absorbed, cocky, douchetastic, and possibly pathological liar on the Internet. The story in a nutshell is that he took shots at Barstool Sports, Kirk Minihane defended the wall, the Minifans began investigating Allbright’s questionable military background, producer Steve Robinson sent him an email asking for clarification on a story he was working on, and Allbright tweeted out the emails in an attempt to garner pity from people by presenting himself as a decorated veteran under attack from a smut website.
Dave Portnoy contemplated firing Steve Robinson for literally asking a question, because evidently this psychopath who shits on their brand gets to control hiring and content decisions at Barstool. And in one of the most gutless moves of all time, another guy who works for Barstool who goes by Chaps (and is a veteran) inserted himself into the dispute squarely on the side of the guy who was trying to smear the company Chaps works for.
If the people at @kirkmin’s show are doing this, it’s absolutely bullshit and I apologize to Ben. This is beyond fucked up. Don’t post your records, Ben. You don’t owe anyone anything. Thanks for your honorable service. https://t.co/BSHR7G9qJn

Imagine working with people this sackless? Remember when it was “Barstool vs. The World”? They literally sell t-shirts that say that. They built their brand on going after Deadspin, Jezebel, ESPN, and every other media outlet that publicly took shots (and falsely smeared) at them for being sexist, racist, blah, blah, blah.
For example, Megan Greenwell was an editor for Deadspin. She doesn’t have nearly as large a following on Twitter as Allbright, and has publicly shit on Barstool many times. She made a comment about living in a Puerto Rican neighborhood to show how woke she was, and what Portnoy do? He went to her neighborhood and interviewed people about whether or not they thought she was a racist.
And guess what? That’s awesome. That’s GREAT content. That’s more entertaining than another shitty blog about Justin Bieber.
Or how bout the time they went through all the old tweets of every Deadspin writer who had been criticizing Barstool for not being woke, and produced several blatantly sexist and/or racist things Deadspin writers had said?
I LIVE for content like that. It’s done purely out of revenge and a desire to win at all costs. It’s fucking beautiful. Nothing better than exposing the person calling you out as the hypocrite that they are.
Or how bout when ESPN’s Sam Ponder took shots at Barstool? Turned into an all-out war.

In The Face Of Plunging Ratings And Unheard of Unpopularity Sam Ponder Has Resorted To Flat Out Lying About Barstool Sports To Save Her Job At ESPN https://t.co/aEqe15Tgad
— Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) September 12, 2018
And again, that is awesome and entertaining. Barstool built its brand on destroying people who lied and shit on what they do.
But yet Allbright takes shots at Barstool, Minihane and Robison fight back, and what do these cowards do? They side with this lying queef.
In other words, Dave only defends Barstool when he personally is attacked and shit on. You can shit on his employees all you want though and he’ll side with you because he fears the retribution you will bring.
They literally let this guy control the content that they publish. And mostly because one employee stuck his nose into a story he knew nothing about, and acted like his opinion was the only one that mattered because he’s an actual, real veteran. As you can see, Benny boy loved that.
Thanks brother, I really appreciate it. I just don't want there to be any doubt.
Ive had an unconventional life, and I would get how points of it would look unbelievable.

As he said he would, Benny boy produced what he alleges is his DD 214 from his first tour in Iraq from 2003-2004.
He’s shared this dozens of times as if it’s some kind of Trump card. But there’s a couple issues. For starters it says that he’s a sergeant on there, when he’s publicly claimed to have higher rank many times.
He also redacts several of his alleged medals. Remember, this guy has tweeted dozens of times about how he’s “highly decorated” in order to win pissing matches over politics.
His reasoning for redacting the medal information? It was an elaborate trap he set for Minihane and Robinson.
In other words, he’s trying to say that he’s hoping Minihane and Robinson accuse him of not winning an award, and that way he can unredact the information and get them on some sort of libel. He’s a diabolical genius like that.
Editor’s Note: It’s come to our attention that the dates listed on his DD 214 are consistent with the way in which the Army writes out dates, and the part questioning it has been removed.
Except according to GI Turtle on the show last night, the medals he is showing are all participation medals for going through boot camp. Not a single one of them is for anything that any veteran would consider “decorated.” He’s hoping that people who don’t know what this stuff means (which is most people) will look at it and say, “his story checks out.”
Then there’s the underlined portion about where he served and when. It says right on there that he was in Iraq and Kuwait. I’m not saying that he manipulated this form or photoshopped anything, but it’s pretty easy to find out how to do it online if you wanted to. I spent 30 seconds messing with this one, and I’m sure if I played around with the font a little more I could get it blend in perfectly.
It’s really not hard.
GI Turtle also showed us his DD 214. Note block 13 (medals).
Looks a lot different. There are other small discrepancies he points out in the podcast as well. Benny Boy also hasn’t produced his DD 214 showing that he was in Afghanistan, and his tweet claiming that he was there has since been deleted.
Ok. Yesterday I posted a screenshot of his Afghanistan tweet. I believe he has deleted that. (I searched using the keyword “korea” here thinking he may have spelled Afghanistan wrong) It should appear sequentially on 6/15/18 in the screenshot below. Unless I am missing something. pic.twitter.com/u94vLCv38y

I emailed Benny Boy to ask him for a quote. He told me that he’s “not sure I can’t get you” on libel laws, which seems to mean that he thinks he is gong to get me on libel laws.
I pressed on.
He told me I took his tweets out of context.
Out of context? He said several times he left Harvard Law school.
I really wanted to hear how he explained the non-existent wall between Iran and Iraq that he built.
He’s still saying that he “left Harvard law for this,” which implies that he once attended Harvard Law. He did not.
So how does he explain his building of the non-existent wall? Turns out we weren’t supposed to take that literally either, and the podcast last night is going to be me and Steve Robinson in trouble. He also has some personal advice for me.
Oh right, he wasn’t talking about a literal wall.
Not at all. Sure, he’s engaged in a conversation about the cost of building a physical wall, and mentioned the fact that he built a wall in order to win the conversation, but that wasn’t meant to be literal. Don’t you get it? Everything he says is a metaphor for something else. Like attending Harvard Law, bleeding for his country….
Serving in Afghanistan…. (again, this could be hyperbole about Iraq because they have similar dirt)
And being highly decorated….
No, no, no, don’t you get it? It was his job to decorate the Christmas tree at the base. Silly civilians!
Then last night Allbright made his account with 83K followers private (but his followers could still see it so what’s the point?) and he went on a deleting spree.
After going private be reopened his account last night. He deleted a shit ton of tweets as you can see. Claims it was to protect people he served with. He got rid of tweets mentioning he was “decorated.” pic.twitter.com/33ge6tKD2X
— WWII Felger (@WWIIFelger) August 21, 2019
Nothing shady about that.
He also began apologizing today for “misleading” his followers about attending Harvard Law.
To be emphatically clear.
I did not attend Harvard law, and I apologize to anyone I misled with that claim. It was not intended as a lie, but ultimately is one. I apologize sincerely.

At least he’s on record for being a liar now.
Anyway, the Kirk Minihane takedown of Kevin Cullen last year was one of the most entertaining, interesting, and important pieces of journalism I’ve ever seen. Likewise, Barstool’s takedowns of Deadspin and others was great content. People love to see the people they follow show that they have sack and aren’t afraid to punch back when they’re being punched by douchebags. Barstool used to have sack, but they’ve since been emasculated by Benjamin Allbright, so it looks like it’s up to us to carry on the torch. Kirk called them Huffstool on the podcast the other day too.

He’s starting to see that corporate controlled Barstool is hardly any different from the gutless corporate controlled WEEI he left behind.

As for Ben, no we will not be retracting anything, but thanks for the unsolicited advice anyway. You might be able to control content on Huffstool, but it won’t work with Turtleboy.
