A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a driver who hit and killed a 27-year-old woman in Exeter.
Police said Sarah Balmforth was struck and killed on South Road between 9 p.m. Monday and 6 a.m. Tuesday.
Friends of Animals in Need told NBC 10 News on Thursday that they received the anonymous donation, which is to be given as a reward.
Authorities said a possible vehicle wanted in connection with the crash has been identified as a late-model Jeep Wrangler between the years of 1997 and 2006. The Jeep should have front passenger-side damage, specifically missing or damaged light fixtures.
Police asked anyone with information about the Jeep or who may have witnessed the crash to call Creamer at 401-444-1046.
