Here’s some more things we’ve learned about Miguel Rodriguez, the 24 year old shitbag who kidnapped 11 year old Charlotte Moccia on her way home from school in Springfield yesterday:
- He was seen on video surveillance watching her walk home from the bus the day before, which means this was premeditated and he targeted this girl in particular.
- In court today he was held without bail and is undergoing mental health evaluation.
- He threatened to stab her if she tried to get out of the car or scream.

And then there’s this from the family:
According to his family, Miguel Rodriguez of Springfield has had a history of schizophrenia and paranoia. The 24-year-old was arrested Wednesday, accused of forcing an 11-year-old girl into a car and abducting her on her way home from school.
“We heard about it in the news, when we heard the Amber Alert,” said Rodriguez’ father, Henry, at the family’s home on Bay Street in Springfield. “The kids came and told me and they say ‘yeah, this looks like Miguel’s car.”
Wait…..what? You saw Miguel’s car on the news and you responded by NOT calling the cops? Good work.
“We knew that sooner or later he was going to do something of this nature,” said Henry Rodriguez. “But not something this crazy.”
Miguel’s father talked about the times his son would stand outside the house and spit at cars or even try and kick them as they drove past. According to the father, Miguel’s sister has had to take out a restraining order against him due to sporadic violent attacks toward her. The police were called, according to the family, when he first started acting out three years ago. Miguel had been given medication by Baystate Medical Center, according to Henry but he didn’t take them.
“He said he’s not crazy. He said he didn’t feel nothing. He said he didn’t like the flavor of the medications … We wanted him to take them but we couldn’t make him,” Henry said.
As the father spoke of his son, both Miguel’s brother and mother listened on the stairs. The whole family was shocked by the events of the day.
“We feel really bad, you know, as parents. We have kids ourselves,” said Rodriguez. “We feel relieved that the girl was found safe and sound. We were relieved that nothing happened to that little girl and that she is back with her family. We are grateful she’s all right.
“We want to say sorry to her and her family for what they went through in those hours.”
Part of me does feel bad for them because their son is obviously a fucking lunatic. He’s also an adult so they can’t force him to medicate. I know the libertarians of the world will disagree with me on this one cuz “muh liberties,” but when someone is this insane it shouldn’t be optional for them to get psychiatric treatment. This shouldn’t be optional. If you spit on cars driving by and your sister took out a RO against you, then you’re obviously batshit crazy and need to be institutionalized for the safety of everyone else. A little girl easily could’ve been killed last night.
Schizo boy has two Facebook pages, one of which is almost entirely anime bullshit.
He likes really weird shit, including tons of Indian television crap.
And the other page is just him posting selfies.
Again, he was arrested last year in the Walmart parking lot for indecent assault and battery on a minor.
So if he had mental health shit back then, why wasn’t this brought up to the judge? Why wasn’t he forced to undergo treatment? He clearly was a threat to children, yet the system let him walk away because “criminal justice reform,” or something. And why is he even allowed to drive a car in the first place if he’s this unpredictable? Lot more to come on this story for sure.
