Last week Gronk made headlines again when he roasted David Ortiz. It was hilarious. Naturally social justice warriors are pissed off because it was allegedly “racist.” Watch:
If you didn’t watch it, here were the more controversial jokes:
“Hard to believe that Big Papi signed his first pro contract when he was 17. That’s 21st birthday USA.”
“Anthony Mackie is here, everybody. Anthony played Falcon in Captain America: Civil War. Anthony, you were terrible, dog. It was the worst I’ve seen a Falcon look since the second half of Super Bowl 51. And that superhero, you know, the Falcon, the superhero, that’s the black guy. You know, who can even fly when he’s not being chased by the cops? That’s his superpower.”
“Remember when David was famous a few years ago saying that if he weren’t playing baseball, he’d want to be a porn star? Now, I know porn, and I swear, there’s no way this could work. First, there’s the obvious issue: when Big Papi pulls down his pants to reveal—Pequeño Papi. I’m not saying just because David’s covered in gold chains and diamond earrings, he’s compensating for something. I’m just saying, he probably has a small-ass piece. Plus, what if they do the classic porn delivery guy? Can you imagine any scenario when David actually puts down the fucking burrito to fuck the girl? [Gronk does terrible impression of David Ortiz eating a burrito while fucking a girl] “Just blow me!”
“Oh David, thanks for showing up on time to all the Dunkin’ Donuts shoots. I had a blast jackin’ off for two hours in your green room every time. Hopefully you never used those pillows on your breaks. By the way, it’s “Dunkin’ Donuts,” not “Yunkin’ Donuts.” I had to stay for an extra 10 hours because of your fuckin’ fat ass.”
“Remember last year when they canceled David Ortiz Bobblehead Night, allegedly because the bobblehead was racist and insensitive? Pfft, like that could ever happen in Boston.”
“You wanna know why Jews do play football? To get their quarter back!”
“Sarah, I’m not sure if you’re really a slut, but it’s been fun watching you take a pounding from eight guys.”
“Look at those eye brows. They come from five to seven of the countries on Trump’s travel ban list.”
Not bad for Gronk. Obviously someone wrote those jokes for him, as he’s not nearly witty enough to come up with some of those zingers. Were they edgy? Yup. But that’s the whole point of a roast and standup comedy in general. There are no rules. It is the job of comedians to push PC boundaries. It is their job to offend while also making people laugh. If you can’t stomach that then don’t go to a roast.
The second I listened to this roast the first thing I thought was, “the MSM is gonna try to stir up racial tensions for page views with this one.” And that’s exactly what Sports Illustrated did:
“Given the times we’re living in, it will be very interesting to see how this plays out. Patriots fans, everyone from the state of Massachusetts and people who don’t get offended by such things will say it’s just a roast and they are harmless jokes, although even they might say it was questionable for a pro athletes to go where Gronk went. Others will say many of the jokes were offensive and inappropriate. Expect this story to snowball and get bigger and bigger. It will be fascinating to see how Bill Belichick and the Patriots handle it, if at all.”
The times we’re living in? Like it’s 1963 in Alabama or something. You know why there is racial tension today? Because the media fuels it. These jokes were harmless and the roast shouldn’t even be debated. But of course SI has to say, “expect this story to snowball and get bigger and bigger.” Yet they’re the ones snowballing this thing to begin with. Classic MSM fail.
Then naturally the pscychopath white people at the Occupy Democrats Facebook page have taken offense on behalf of minorities everywhere:
“Has some explaining to do.”
“Trump’s White House guest.”
See that? That’s how Trump got into the White House in the first place. I know that’s pretty much the only reason I voted for him. Because the issue that matters to me more than anything isn’t healthcare or the economy or any other issue that used to matter. The only issue that matters to me is political correctness. And if this is what the democrats stand for, then I’m voting for the other guy. I don’t care how many dumb things he said. If he offends these people then I like him. End of story.
“We’re not sure appearing at a roast comes with a pass to tell racist and sexist jokes, even if they are childish and not very funny.”
Newsflash – the whole point of a roast means all roasters get a free pass to tell racist and sexist jokes. Obviously you are unfamiliar with the concept of jokes to begin with.
Plus, it all just seems a little off-putting coming from a high profile member of the Super Bowl champion New England Patriots, the team that happens to be President Trump’s favorite, received an invitation to the White House, and whose owner counts Trump as a close friend.
Yup, there it is. The Trump connection. The Patriots are Trump’s team of choice because our quarterback and coach are racists too. And even though Gronk has probably never even voted before, and even though he had a great time being Gronk at the Obama White House visit, none of that matters anymore.
You need only look at the very first comment on their page to show you just how stupid these idiots are:
This is Dorian Tisdale, the Trump-hating democrat who defended Gronk’s roast:
This is Galen Wainwright, the guy who called Gronk’s roast “racist” and accused Dorian (a black man) of using his “privilege” to “normalize” and be part of the problem:
So just to review. The white guy is telling the black guy that he is wrong for not taking offense at jokes that are allegedly racist against black guys, while lecturing him about his privilege. This is what it looks like to be a “progressive” thinker in 2017.
The funniest part about this is that the same people fired up about Gronk are the ones lining up to listen to Amy Schumer tell jokes about getting plowed by black guys.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – white people are the worst.
