Mett Jeff Trifone of Southbridge, the Turtleboy Buttnut of the Week award winner:
This cholesteroceros was exposed by Fox 25 Investigates after he ripped off a Northbridge family who paid him $1,100 up front to install an above ground pool that was to be used for water therapy for their 14 year old son Zack, who has cerebral palsy. Two years ago we did this expose about an Auburn mother with a special needs child, who also had a horrible experience with a pool company installing a pool for water therapy. Unfortunately scammers like Jeff Trifone are far too common, and they prey on people with special needs kids.
Basically what happened is the Marston family found Trifone’s “A+ Pool Liners & Covers” (yes, that’s his business name) on Google, they called him up, he came over, gave them an estimate, and agreed to do the work. According to the Marston family he seemed legit, so they paid him the deposit he required and looked forward to the pool being built for their son.
Unfortunately they forgot to do the number one thing everyone should always do while dealing with ANYONE in 2017 – Google them. Had they done so they would have found a world of shit. In 2013 Trifone was brought to court after using a Craig’s List scam to steal money from multiple people by pretending to be a landlord and renting out rooms that were not his to rent out in the first place.
Then there was that time in 2014 he was arrested for going around to local businesses and scamming them out of money under the false pretenses that he was raising money for cancer research. It’s OK though, because he said he was sorry:
“Trifone pleaded not guilty to two counts of larceny under 250 dollars by false pretense. After leaving the courtroom, Trifone told us he was sorry for what he did. According to Police, Trifone said he was raising money for a softball tournament that would help raise money for Relay For Life. They say he was looking for pledges of 40 dollars.”
His page on ripoff report shows similar stories:
As do others:
It’s just so insane that we live in a world where people like this are somehow able to thrive. All over his publicly viewable Facebook page you can see pictures of him living in what appears to be a nice house, with a nice dog, and a nice pool. He has kid(s) and pretends to be a good father by giving them everything they want. But other people’s children with special needs? They can go fuck off themselves.
It’s OK though, because he’s an alpha male:
He advertises his bootleg business on his page:
Ironically he posts about customers being the asshole:
Because apparently paying someone for a service and then expecting that service to be completed makes that person an asshole.
He shows off some of his work, like this pool from Mattapoisett:
He posted this picture of a pool he allegedly did work on. You’ll notice a wheelchair right next to the pool:
And sometimes he actually posts things that are true:
“Some people are fake, and some people are real good at being fake.”
Yea, that’s you dude. You’re fake as shit. You also kind of have no soul. I mean, it’s one thing ripping off able bodied adults, but it takes a special kind of ass muncher to screw over a 14 year old with cerebral palsy.
Anyway, how is this guy not in jail? He clearly has no desire whatsoever to make an honest living. The only thing he knows how to do is steal from other people and rip them off. How many times do you get to go in front of a judge in this state for the same kind of crime and NOT end up in jail? Until this guy ends up in prison everyone should make a point to make his life hell every time they see him in public. Sure, he’s a big dude, but at the end of the day he’s just a grown man who preys on the families of disabled children. He’s human garbage and should be treated as such.
