WCVB: Protesters wearing adult diapers whose arms were inside 55-gallon concrete barrels shut down Interstate 93 during the morning commute Thursday. Two groups blocked traffic on I-93 northbound at East Milton Square and 1-93 southbound at Mystic Avenue in Medford at 7:30 a.m., Massachusetts State Police Lt. Daniel Richard said. Some of the protesters in Milton were sitting on the highway with their arms shoulder-deep inside sealed 1,200-pound barrels that appeared to be filled with cement. Several of the protesters were found to be wearing adult diapers, state police said, adding “their plan, obviously, was to stay on the highway for a long time.”
“It’s a dangerous demonstration that they tried to pull off,” Boston Mayor Marty Walsh said. “I am for free speech, but it’s dangerous to get on the highway, and you are putting yourself and commuters at risk. I don’t think an incident like today is the way to get your message out there.”
Fire crews used saws and power tools to free the protesters from the barrels before taking them into custody. In Medford, protesters formed a human blockade, chaining themselves hand-to-hand with “lockboxes” to stop traffic on the busy highway. State Police Col. Tim Alben called the protest immature, irresponsible and reckless and said it was “conduct that is risking people’s lives.”
“This morning the Easton Fire Department responded to a serious car crash. The victims were being transported to Boston, but due to the protest, the ambulance had to be redirected,” Alben said. Eighteen people at the Medford protest and 11 protesters in Milton were arrested, State Police said.
“Today, our nonviolent direct action is meant to expose the reality that Boston is a city where white commuters and students use the city and leave, while Black and Brown communities are targeted by police, exploited, and displaced,” said Korean-American activist Katie Seitz.
Newsflash Grimace – black people don’t like you. Nobody likes you.
I love it. I absolutely fucking love it. For the people out there who are getting mad about this stuff, think about it for a second. The problem at first with these nudniks is the powers that be took them seriously. They were allowed to “peacefully” demonstrate by putting on their skinny jeans, grabbing their bull horns, dropping their hashtags all over the Twittersphere, and yelling profanities at the cops. In Worcester we just LET them clog up Lincoln Square for a day to let them feel better about themselves.
Of course shit has pissed me off, but the longer shit like this goes on, the more and more they’re proving that every stereotype about what they supposedly stand for is bullshit. Everything. Remember back when we first started blogging about these dooshnozzles I came up with the idea to throw paint at them? How come no one has done that yet? Why isn’t anyone kicking their asses yet? Hey everyone reading this – feel free to do whatever you want to this people. There are no legal repercussions. There isn’t a jury in Massachusetts that would ever convict you after the last month of events. That’s why protests like this are great. They legitimize retaliatory actions against them.
But of course people can get hurt. Which is why you’d be doing EVERYONE a favor if you ran these people over with your car. Because they are terrorists officially now. It’s no longer debatable. Terrorists. 150% terrorists. This confirms it:
and so does this:
@GerryCallahan Because of I-93 protesters a friend had to cancel chemotherapy appt for today because of the mess they have cause.

Stopping ambulances from getting to the hospital. Taking away people’s right to fight cancer with chemotherapy. These people are no longer just criminals. They’re terrorists. They’re deliberately trying to kill people now so that we’ll pay attention to them. That’s what a terrorist is. I’ve been saying this for over a month now. Remember last month when this car ran someone over a protester in Minnesota because the driver was getting attacked, and we said we supported the driver?
And remember when dingbat protesters said about Turtleboy?
Yup. Hit em all. I was right. You were wrong. These people all deserve to spend the rest of their lives in prison. Anyone who didn’t have time to brake for them could’ve died. Anyone on the way to the hospital could’ve died. They obviously have no regard for human life whatsoever. We can’t have people walking around our streets that think it’s OK to watch other people die. Put them in prison FOREVER.
Oh yea and I’ve reached my tolerance point when it comes to hippie descent. If you say dumb things on the Turtleboy Sports Facebook page then you’re gonna be blogged about. Like back when we called these people terrorists, and people like this guy here responded by saying dumb things like this:
Mauro thinks it’s OK to “interrupt the status quo” in order to protest. Keep in mind part of the status quo is emergency vehicles getting to hospitals. If you think it’s OK to stand on the highway and block ambulances then you support terrorism. Pick a side.
Here’s another terrorist supporter, Paul Moriarty:
Yea, missing a chemotherapy appointment is merely an “inconvenience.” His reasoning? Ghandi.
Geniuses like this who have mastered American history:
Yea, if you don’t think people should get to the hospital for a life-saving treatment then you’re gonna be on the wrong side of history.
Then there’s this eggy:
Solidarity? With people blocking cancer patients from getting to the hospital so they can kill cancer cells? Solidarity with people who purposely try to kill other people? I’m shocked….SHOCKED, that whoever this person is looks like this:
Thank God black people have white people like this to protect them from ambulances and chemotherapy.
Saw this one on the “Black Lives Matter Boston” Facebook page:
Let’s play a game. First, guess what race Nicholas Horton is? If you side WHITE
Then you’re the winner!!
Now let’s play guess where Nicholas Horton is from. If you said CAMBRIDGE:
Then you’re a double winner!!! I’m just kidding, the answers to those two questions were too easy.
Here’s another one:
“Shut the fuck up about your commute and your safety.”
Yup, she said that. If you stand with the protesters you stand with Anya Klepacki:
She’s an artist.
Attention protesters: Either you’re with us or against us. Pick one. No more middle ground. No more saying, “yea but the black lives matter, I can’t breathe” movement is a peaceful one. It’s not. They’ve proven that time and time again. If you get in my way I am running you over. If you think it’s OK to stop decent people from getting to work, seeing their families, getting medical treatment, buying groceries, or whatever the hell else we wanna do in our daily lives, then you’re risking your life. Because I have no problem running you over, and I’m certainly not gonna waste my brake pads on you.
Feel free to share your thoughts to keep the conversation going.
