Every single time some group of angry butthurts comes after Turtleboy, they always end up getting spanked. But yet they keep on lining up to to embarrass themselves. If you recall a couple months back, some butthurts were complaining that Turtleboy Sports was endorsing Mike Gaffney for free. As if there’s anything wrong with that. For the record, Gaffney’s campaign did pay to run a banner ad on here for a few months during the election season. But all the nice things we said about him were on the house. We meant every word of it.

Every campaign has to spend money on advertising at some point, it’s just a matter of where. Petty raised tens of thousands of dollars so he could afford to pay the overpriced ad rates at the Telegram, in addition to the five million yard signs he bought. Gaffney just chose to be smarter with his money. He realized that the only media outlet that matters, and the one with by far the largest audience, is Turtleboy Sports. So yes, he paid to advertise on here, as opposed to wasting his money to advertise somewhere where no one would see him. Crazy, right?

Well during this whole Gaffney-gate thing, a bunch of knobjobs called up the OCPF and they began a full investigation to see whether or not Gaffney had violated campaign finance laws by not disclosing payments made to Turtleboy Digital Marketing LLC:

MassliveAfter investigating several complaints into mayoral candidate Michael Gaffney’s payments to Turtleboy Sports for ads, the state Office of Campaign and Political Finance found no wrongdoing by the candidate. In a report issued at the end of November and highlighted in the office’s winter newsletter, the office said it received “several” complaints saying that Gaffney didn’t disclose payments made for campaign ads posted on the local blog.

The OCPF report noted that the Gaffney Committee paid $400 per month for a series of campaign ads which first began appearing on the blog in July. MassLive reported at the end of September that no payments to the blog had appeared on Gaffney’s filed campaign finance reports.

“There is generally a lag between the date when services are provided and the date when the expenditure for the services is posted in a committee’s expenditure reports,” the OCPF report reads.

The first invoice for Gaffney’s ads was dated July 27 with a due date of Aug. 27. OCPF said the payment was processed by the bank on Sept. 17 and appeared in Gaffney’s finance reports thereafter. Two other payments of $400 each for ads also cleared Gaffney’s bank on Oct. 2 and Nov. 4. While Gaffney noted in September that someone complained specifically about “promotional” blogs run on the website, he denied that he requested them.

“Turtleboy Sports is just like any other paper or anything else … they write whatever they want to write,” Gaffney told MassLive in September. “I certainly don’t tell them what to write.”

HAHAHAHHAHA. “Several complaints.” Oh yea, how bout you disclose who these losers are? After all, they just cost the taxpayers a shitload of money to investigate an idiotic, unproven allegation that ended up being 100% false. We should all be able to egg their house at least once.

This just goes to show how desperate they are. They’ve tried everything. Boycotts, witch hunts to find out who “Turtleboy” is, imaginary lawsuits, etc. But none of them worked and this was all they could come up with. And they STILL failed. Miserably.

The bottom line is that anyone can advertise on Turtleboy Sports. You do it to be seen. It doesn’t mean that we necessarily use your product, or are endorsing your business. It just means that you wanted to be seen by a gigantic and growing audience, and we wanted your money so our bloggers can eat and Turtleboy Jr. can get braces. If Sarai Rivera wanted to take some of those mystery $1,000 donations from random, shady dudes from Woburn, and give it to Turtleboy, we’d put an ad up for her too. We just wouldn’t promote her in our blogs.

GFY…Are you really that gullible ?? Gaffney with no backing from the political monster Mcgovern crime family or anything similar took a giant bite out of Pettys ass..Hell if I was Gaffney I would be happy I did not inherit this dump created by Petty because it will take 10 terms to turn this shit hole around

It’s not nice to mess with the McGovern Family, JoJo or Eddie. Remember, they have unlimited access to other people’s money (usually, actual working people and taxpayers, ironically) so as to come after you.

A lot of good your blog did for Gaffneys mayoral aspirations. Maybe you should do the country a favor and indorse hillary clinton, with your support she’ll be sure to lose too.

Why was the malfeasance with Rivera’s campaign account never investigated? the circumstances look criminal.
