I just wanna thank all the idiot UFC bros who are betting on Conor McGregor tonight for driving the line so far down. McGregor is currently sitting at +285 which it the most outrageous betting line in the history of sports. This fight tonight is a freak show. A fun exhibition. It’s not a real fight. Conor McGregor used to box. He quit because he wasn’t good enough to make money off of it. Now he’s fighting the undefeated best pound for pound boxer in the world, who looks like he’s in Tom Brady age 40 shape. I don’t care if McGregor is 12 years younger and 20 pounds heavier. None of that matters. Edwin Rodriguez was 15 pounds heavier than Andre Ward when he fought him. Didn’t end well for poor Mr. La Bomba. And he’s an actual world class Worcester boxer.
McGregor doesn’t box. Floyd boxes for a living. Floyd doesn’t knock people out like he did back in the day, but that’s because he’s fighting actual boxers who normally fight conservatively because they’re going against the best. Pacman, Canelo, Cotto – Mayweather gets other boxers to fight HIS fight. So he beats them on points and it’s wicked boring and we all feel like we just got robbed.
McGregor isn’t gonna do that. He’s a MMA guy. He’s gonna leave himself wide open, do something stupid, and Floyd will knock him out. If it goes past five rounds I’ll be shocked. Don’t get me wrong, it would be AWESOME if this woman beating piece of human garbage got the first loss of his career in a freak show. But the only way that’s gonna happen is if Floyd intentionally throws the fight in order to set up the payday for the rematch, which he’d win, and then the third fight, which he’d also win. I don’t think Floyd is that smart though.
So yea, I’m betting everything I own on Floyd at -350. Thank you to all the morons who made this easy pay day possible.
