This week a disgraced former cop in Mesa, AZ was found not guilty of both murder and manslaughter in the shooting of an unarmed, law abiding father of two that was caught on body cam video. The cop, Philip Brailsford, was later fired after it was revealed that his gun had the words “You’re fucked” on it, and the video clearly shows that the deceased did absolutely nothing wrong.

So…….where are the protests you ask? Where is the round the clock coverage? Well, this was Daniel Shaver:

And just like most people who are killed by the police, he’s a white guy. So there will be no protests or social justice warriors using his name in a hashtag.

He wasn’t a career criminal selling drugs like Freddie Grey was, so the DA of Baltimore won’t be trying six cops on bogus murder charges.

He wasn’t attacking a police officer or robbing a store clerk like Michael Brown, so the DOJ didn’t investigate this one.

He wasn’t rolling around on the ground, wrestling a cop and trying to take away his service weapon like Alton Sterling was, so entire cities will not be shut down as protesters blockade highways and demand police accountability.

Former President Obama won’t say that the police “acted stupidly,” or claim that if he had a son he might look like Daniel Shaver.

A little background first. Brailsford was called to a La Quinta back in January of 2016 on reports that someone had been pointing a rifle out of a window. Daniel Shaver was very wasted, wearing mess shorts, and had apparently been messing around with a few pellet guns that he used in his pest control job. The police were responding to a situation that potentially could’ve been deadly, were there an actual gun involved. They had no way of knowing that Daniel Shaver was unarmed, and they obviously had to be on edge.

But with that said, the video of his killing is one of the most disturbing, scary, and insane things I’ve ever seen.

Shaver emerges stumbling out of his hotel room. He’s told to get on the ground, and he immediately complies. Shaver attempts to follow every instruction shouted at him, but he has difficulty because the instructions make no sense. Here’s a verbatim transcript of everything Brailsford told Shaver to do, as he pointed his rifle at him and threatened repeatedly to kill him: “lie on the ground,” “put both hands on top of your head and interlace your fingers,” “take your feet and cross your left foot over your right foot,” “keep your feet crossed,” “put both hands flat in front of you” (while they’re on his head and interlaced?), “push yourself to a kneeling position” (have you ever tried to push yourself up while your arms are extended all the way in front of you?), “put both hands in the air,” “crawl towards me” (with his hands in the air?), “stop,” “crawl,” “keep your legs crossed” (while crawling?), “put your hands in the air,” “keep your legs crossed,” “crawl” (so he’s supposed to crawl again with his hands in the air and his legs crossed). In the midst of this flurry of hysterical, arbitrary commands, as Brailsford continually reminds Shaver that he’ll die if he “makes a mistake,” Shaver cries and begs for his life.

Then comes the fatal moment. As Shaver crawls, awkwardly and wobbly, trying to keep up with this deadly game of Simon Says, his pants begin to fall down. He reaches to pull them up and Brailsford immediately sprays him with bullets. Shaver followed his ridiculous instructions for five minutes and still wound up dead.

It really was like a sick and twisted game of Simon Says. Except you’re drunk and when you don’t do what Simon says you get shot five times.

THIS is a police killing to get fired up about. There is zero excuse for what happened on that tape. They easily could’ve cuffed him when he was lying down on the ground with his hands on top of his head, fingers interlaced, and feet crossed. Instead this pussy on a power trip made him crawl while yelling conflicting orders at him, and then shot him as he was clearly trying to keep his mess shorts from falling off.

Just look at this piece of human garbage:

That right there is the face of someone who was bullied throughout high school, and was just waiting for the chance to kill someone. He even claims he’d do it all over again and regrets nothing.

In fairness Shaun King did post about it on his Facebook page, and was outraged as well. But where’s Colin Kaepernick at now? He’s always the first to fire up the outrage patrol when the cops justifiably kill a person of color. Now he’s got a completely unjustified shooting and his “platform” is no longer being used to draw attention to police brutality. Weird.

And where’s CNN at? After Freddie Grey was killed they had round the clock coverage of the circumstances leading up to the death of a lowlife who sold poison to a vulnerable community. Where’s the protests? Where’s the tweets about Daniel Shaver’s life mattering? Unlike Michael Brown and Freddie Grey, this was clear cut. An innocent man was killed because he couldn’t follow the insane and contradictory orders of a wannabe storm trooper.

The lack of outrage and coverage of this from the MSM proves that the media has never really been interested in police accountability. They’re in it for one thing and one thing only – money. And news outlets get more money when ratings are better. And what better way to drive ratings up than to constantly push the racial narrative? Make no doubt about it – if Daniel Shaver were black this would be all over every media outlet and would receive round the clock coverage. There would cities burning right now after this verdict.

But at the end of the day Daniel Shaver was just a white, law-abiding, gainfully employed father of two. So no one gives a shit about him. Especially the mainstream media.

P.S. We almost always back the police in questionable shootings. But this piece of shit’s not a cop, and was clearly 1,000% in the wrong.
