So we get tons of comments every day and normally don’t have time to read them all. But today we couldn’t resist, especially in our victory blog that we published about yesterday’s election victory for the Turtleboy Sports Revolution. And make no doubt about it – it was a HUGE victory. So we’re gonna pull an Old Balls and respond to the commenters so we can point out why they’re really dumb….
So was I watching the same election you were. I just wonder because from what I saw it was a white washing. I’m happy Mike Gaffney got second place it was awesome. That still doesn’t make up for the fact he got his clock cleaned in the Mayors race. As for the rest of your ticket Cindy was a terrible candidate who got obliterated over in D1. In district 4 the polls closed at 8:00 and Jackie lost at 8:01. Donna was going to win regardless of your support. She had been too active not to win. The only candidate you did support was in a tight race race for last placeYou didn’t want king, but now all of a sudden he’s palatable. You beat your chest all week long. You really are the Rex Ryan of Worcester politics. You got a beat down. Just admit it and move on. But don’t try to justify it and say you won when in reality you’re ticket for squashed.
Alright, first of all, nominating Cindy Nguyen was a coin flip. We picked the underdog because we wanted to mix things up a bit. Gun to Turtleboy’s head last night we would’ve predicted Tony Economou would win, so pardon Turtleboy for investing in the underdog. You must go to Foxwoods and cheer for the dealer. We root against the house.
The most ridiculous claim this genius made was that Donna Colorio was going to win regardless. YYYYEEEEAAAAA!!!! All of a sudden a woman who lost her seat and finished behind Tracy Novick and Hilda Ramirez was gonna go from SEVENTH to SECOND in two years. Magically. I’m sure the Turtleboy Sports Revolution had NOTHING to do with the fact that she beat Jack freaking Foley, a guy who finished first just four years ago, and second two years ago, finished lower than he EVER HAS before this time around.
Let’s look at the School Committee results from two years ago:
Foley 7,385. Colorio 5,654.
Here’s yesterday’s count: Foley 8,106. Colorio 8,597.
Donna Colorio, a candidate widely endorsed by the TBS ticket, gained a total of 2,943 votes. Foley gained only 721. Love Turtleboy or hate him, we got people out to vote. Sure, a lot of people probably voted against the Turtleboy Sports candidates because they’re butthurt, but many, many more voted for the TB Ticket. #FactsOnly
Then there’s this one:
Spin all you want, Gaffney lost. Petty’s mayoral win was decisive. I’d venture TBS cost Gaffney as many votes as it may have brought him, and that he’ll put more distance between himself and the whiny Turtle minority going forward.
For that we will once again have to resort to facts – the worst enemy of the hippie. A poster summed it up best today:
Although there was obviously a higher turnout this time, 4,700 more people voted in this election than last –
Toomey got only about 170 more votes than last election
Petty only got about 600 more votes than last time
Gaffney got 3,000 more votes than last time
And Konnie got almost 1,500 more votes than last time
Bergman got about 440 more votes than last time.
Gaffney and Lukes benefitted most from the higher turnout or “new” voters. The best….Novick is gone! Ramirez is gone! The two biggest Boone supporters and a superintendent search is beginning. Colorio came in SECOND out of the whole crew…even beating out a couple of corpses that have been on committee forever. It was great!
Yup. We got people interested in local politics and consequently 4,700 new voters showed up to do their civic duty this time. We did that. The vast majority of these new voters voted for people we endorsed. The establishment candidates barely improved while our candidates gained new supporters in the thousands. We did that. #FactsOnly
In the past month we’d like to point out that the following four HUGE problems have all left because of Turtleboy Sports – Melinda Boone, Dicky Rushton, Tracy Novick, Hilda Ramirez. Gone. Boone and Dicky are the smart ones – they both saw the writing on the wall and left on their own terms. Dicky obviously would’ve lost and Boone knew she’d be fired by the new School Committee. She knew that TBS was going to be her downfall so she skipped town. Smart lady.
So, you missed the mayor, 2 out of 5 council seats, and 2 out of 3 SC spots. That means out of the 9 positions you picked a winner in, you got 4. That’s sub .500. But no, you won alright.
The Mayor was a long shot. Gaffney could’ve told you that. But we made them sweat and it was sooooo worth it. Hearing Liz Warren’s voice via the robocall on Friday got me aroused. You think she wanted to do that? Nope. Think she gives a fuck about Joe Petty? Nope. But she’s a loyal soldier to the machine and they do what they have to do to make sure the machine doesn’t lose nuts and bolts, no matter how small they are. We made one of the most well known, established politicians in the country call Turtelboy and BEG him to vote for Joe Petty. We won that battle before the election even took place.
We’ve also set it up pretty nicely for 2017. Rob Sargent and Nick D’Andrea were both dark horses. Rob is a teacher, and unlike Joe Petty he can’t just NOT go to work for nine months in a row. Kind of hard to knock on doors when you’re grading papers. Both of those guys got their names out there and we’ll be seeing them in the future. Moe Bergman lost his first time around too.
Here’s the dumbest thing we read in the comments:
Gaffney for Mayor (Lost) Cindy (Lost) Kostas (Lost) Seargent (Lost). You picked Lukes and Gaffney but thats a safe bet. Even money no Payout. So with the picks you went 0-4. Gaffney and Lukes would have been reelected pretty much no matter what.
So let me get this straight. When we pick candidates who are favored to win, and then they win, that doesn’t count. But when we pick underdogs like Jackie Kostas, who have virtually no chance of winning, that DOES count? Yea, that makes PERFECT sense.

School committee same deal You played it safe. Of course Brian O’Connell was going to win (No payout). I am shocked Donna came in second; however she worked hard. Most likely would have been reelected regardless of your existence. in the non election picks you went 1-7. Then to make the numbers worse, most of your candidates got buried. Get more back and forth and less echo …echo…echo and maybe you can one day play a small role in Worcester Politics. The only thing this website was good for was seeing what Mike Gaffney was wearing today.

Someone wrote on our Facebook page last week that they couldn’t vote because they lived in Millbury. We wrote something to the extent of “you can still vote in District 4.” Because that’s Sarai Rivera’s district where dead people vote multiple times. Get it?? Because Sarai Rivera is in the mafia?? Get it??? LOL. But naturally morons took this as some sort of voter fraud conspiracy, because that’s all they could come up with. Sucks when you don’t have facts and the truth on your side.
This blog did absolutely nothing to gain gaffney any significant support. It’s a fact that a majority of the people who read this BS that you spew everyday were originally going to vote for gaffney. MAYBE you changed the minds of 30 people but clearly that wasn’t enough. Better luck next time TB.

The American Revolution wasn’t won at Lexington and Concord. It was a minor victory but there was much work to be done before they chopped off King George’s head. Just a reminder, Deb’s son Peyton Bissell was arrested last year for downloading child pornography in HER apartment on Plantation Street, which was paid for via a GoFundMe. So while Deb’s gigantic ass was sitting in her filthy living room posting about how racist everyone is, her kid was in the other room downloading videos of young children being raped. This is what we’re up against.
Oh yea, and you know what the best part about Deb Powers is? Her son Peyton was sentenced to jail today. Guess who was there for him in court? No one. Just a reporter from the Telegram. His loving family couldn’t be there because she was too busy posting a million things about cops in school on Facebook. Nice Mom ya got Peyton.

The fact is a lot more people voted for Gaff and did not vote for Petty because of TBS..Who else is printing the truth about the bullshit Petty pulls… absolutely no one .Petty has free rein to run around and pull all the crap he wants with almost zero negative publicity and the guaranteed votes of all the 49 % on the Government dole and the white guilt folks…That is a hard thing to beat..But it came pretty dam close..A lot closer than it would have been without TBS as much at a few do not want to admit
I talked to about 20 people before the elections who had never even heard of Mosaic and the BS that goes one..The sponsoring of blocking road way with our tax dollars given to them by Petty..If some some punishment doled out by god I am still stuck in the crap town next election I will work a lot harder to make sure I get to 50 people maybe mre…Hopefully put another dent or two in the hippy machine..All we can do is hope but it is a huge hurdle to over come…the 49% do not want to give up the free shit and the Hippys want to help them keep it

As always, I do not mean to offend, but in pointing out TBS’ fallacy of arguing from ignorance, you are also making an appeal to ignorance.
The former states an argument is true because it has not been proven false, but the latter states that a claim is false due to there being no evidence of it being true. The burden of proof lies upon claimants, and therefore both arguments are fallacious, either have evidence of falsehood, or evidence proving the claim is true.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, so while TBS could potentially be wrong, using an appeal to ignorance does not prove it to be so. Same goes for him, he can’t make an argument from ignorance either.

Ah, I thought you meant the first half of my comment. The second part I was questioning the evidence used to come to TB’s conclusion. I didn’t (or rather didn’t intend) to make a claim myself but rather question his. But, I stand by my statement. If there is no evidence that he directly influenced the vote of the “vast majority of these new voters “. He made the claim, the burden of proof is on him.

By the way, TBS’ claim there are 1.2million users a month here is actually fraudulent, given that every site that tracks unique visitors to websites say his numbers are anywhere between 2,500-3,500 unique users a day. It would have to be more than ten times that amount per day to be true. But even with those numbers, it could in theory be true.
This avenue of saying TBS’ claim to influencing 3,000 voters is bunk, as much as his claim is that he did. It is useless to debate for the reasons mentioned in my other reply.

Why didn’t you post the screenshot so your readers could think for themselves (I know, wishful thinking)? Cause your memory sucks, or you are a liar. It was Grafton, not Millbury and he told you he was still registered in district 4, to which you told him to vote anyways cause no one would pick up on it. You are just as bad as the hippies.

I will agree that TurtleBoy Sports has really made local politics as interesting as national politics. If this was ten years ago, I could care less about the little things that go on within city hall; or which candidates are looking out for us or their own self interests.

Notice how none of the riders said anything to TBS about how TB told at least one non-resident to come and vote cause he might still be listed as a registered voter. That’s actual voter fraud, but TBS is above the law.
