Everyone knows that Target is the most SJW franchise in America. Not only do they buy into whatever the latest buzzword inspired agenda is, they lead the charge. But the problem with trying to appease SJWs is they’re never really satisfied. It’s not their goal to improve society. Their goal is to feel better about themselves by putting other people down. And they do that by trying to prove that they are more tolerant and progressive than other people who are trying to be tolerant and progressive.
Entre Katie Hinde:
She’s a former associate professor at Arizona State. And the other day she was shopping in target when she decided she was going to fix the world:
Oh for fuck’s sake. You see what she’s doing here right? She’s fighting the patriarchy, one shirt at a time. Because here’s the big scam – Target only wants boys to be astronauts. That’s why they only sell NASA shirts in the boy’s section. They’d encourage girls, but, ya know, they don’t think girls are smart enough to be astronauts. What with the patriarchy and all.
So let’s review what ultimately happened here. A short-haired social justice warrior in the market for some Facebook likes and pats on the back, goes into a target, intentionally puts clothes in the wrong section that she has no intention of buying, and tweets about it for some virtue signaling points. This upper middle class white woman becomes temporary Internet hero of the day for feministos. And the lowly paid Target worker now is forced to clean up her mess.
Wow, what a hero. Making life difficult for poor people. One tweet at a time.
Target fired back:
Boom. Roasted. You know you’ve gone too far to the left when even Target is laughing at you.
This chick writes a blog too, and if you thought she was gonna miss out on her 15 minutes of fame, you don’t understand how the mind of a SJW operates. Instead of just admitting that her failed attempt at faux outrage only resulted in more work for poor people, she doubled down:
“Once folks started talking about NASA shirts for girls there, I went back the next morning to find them and check on some other things. The NASA shirts in the “boys” sections were placed in three different locations (2/3 were prominently on the main aisles visible from 20+ feet away) and positioned at three different eye levels for typical heights in early childhood, middle childhood, and adulthood. For the girls’ staff told me that they definitely had them in the store… somewhere. Turned out, the girls’ NASA shirts were in one location at the back of one section, facing a divider, away from the main path. Other folks have talked about how their local store has prominent NASA & science displays for girls. Sadly not so my store. Yet.”
Holy white chick problems!! Man, and I thought women had it tough in Saudi Arabia. At least in Riyadh the NASA burqas are at eye level!! It gets more sexist though…..
Having returned to the store, I did a more thorough exploration of the images & messages being marketed by gender. There were a lot of marine biology shirts in the girls’ section (yay!). On the other hand, lots of examples of gender stereotyping during toddlerhood: t-shirts for little girls telling them to smile, be kind every day, how to share, and that they can be anything they want (especially if it involves smiling, kindness, and sharing, eh?).
Toddler boys’ clothes mostly emphasized other traits.
So let me get this straight. Target is sexist because they’re selling $5 t-shirts for girls that teach them to do horrible things like, “Be kind every day,” “Share,” and “Smile?” Oh, and the ever dangerous and sexist “I can be anything I want to be” shirt. These are bad things. Whereas boys are being told to “Always be kind,” be a “brave little guy,” and show off their “feats of strength and courage.” See, THIS is why women make 77 cents on the dollar. It’s all because of these shirts. I don’t see boys being told to share anything. Probably why they make more money!!
She even made a graph of her oppression:
LOL. Alright that’s pretty funny.
It got more traumatizing though, because it turns out she is the victim here:
Every few years I manage to touch the 3rd rail of the internet and I am reminded how aggressively histrionic so many men can be toward women disrupting the status quo. Since this tweet I have been called repeatedly <offensive terms warning> “idiot”, “ass”, “whore”, “piece of shit”, “dick”, “moron”, “twat”, “bitch”, “crazy bitch”, “asshole”, “motherfucker”, “garbage”, “cancer”, “psychopath”, “faggot”, “dyke”, “dyke ass”, “cunt”, and “retard”. I’ve been told to “shut up” and “fuck off”. I was told I should be “punched in the head”, “raped”, “euthanized”, that I “needed a bullet to the brain”, and “should kill myself”. I was sent cartoons of Nazis kicking women on the ground. Because I moved 5 shirts. 25 feet.
Uh-oh!! Someone call the cops!! We’ve got a 6996 in progress – white woman reads mean words on the Internet!! Gonna need backup.
I love how this is the fallback move for social justice warriors. You just made a complete ass of yourself and made life difficult for poor people who you pretend to care about. What are you gonna do? Apologize? Nope. Find a way to make yourself the victim? Absolutely!! I mean, someone told her to fuck off? And other people used such traumatizing words as moron, idiot, asshole, psychopath, and shut up? Thank God turtle riders didn’t email her. If one of you people called her a fupasloth I think her head would explode, and then we’d all be covered in soy, granola, and hashtags.
Oh, and here’s the best part – when people who were actually supporting her by calling her their “spirit animal,” she checked their privilege for this cultural appropriation:
This is why SJWs can’t have nice things. Because they love to each other. She just said something so moronic that she should be thanking the good Lord that ANYONE is supporting her. And what does she do when someone has her back? Tells them that their support is “in the context of physical and cultural genocide.” Downer man.
But wait, it gets better. Someone checked her privilege and she retweeted it:
Great point. Isn’t it transphobic to even have boys and girls sections? I mean, lots of kids haven’t decided what gender they are yet. Better give her a retweet.
P.S. Guaranteed Katie Hinde did an ancestry DNA test, hoping to God that it came back Native American. Because it always comes back Native American. And there’s nothing SJWs love more than bragging to the world about how they’re 4% Native American.
Double P.S. Since she was in Target, she should’ve just taken all the NASA shirts and put them in the girl’s bathroom. That way anyone can buy them.
