We wanted to give a shoutout to a story a Turtle Rider sent us about some really cool kids on the Worcester Jr. Sharks hockey team. For the second year in a row they have organized a give back event and this year they chose to make care packages for a medical unit in Afghanistan.
These young lads shopped for items that were requested from the army, wrote them handwritten Christmas cards, and packed up the boxes to be sent out. There’s nothing fun about a Christmas in Afghanistan, but these 9 year old boys probably just made some soldier’s holiday a little bit brighter. We thank the boys for being so thoughtful at such a young age, and we thank the men and women over there who have sacrificed everything in the defense of democracy.

If this were a hot-button or inflammatory post there would be loads of posts following, but here you have a great group of kids doing good for our military and few comments. I would like to give these kids a “high-5” for their hard work and thoughtfulness. It gives me hope for their future and ours. Kudos to them all and blessings to our military personnel.
Nice job team! Keep up the good work and attitude. The world needs more people like you.
