Shoutout to Tim Ritchie, a 2005 Doherty High School graduate who is currently running in the U.S. Olympic Marathon trials in Los Angeles, on NBC. The top 3 finishers will make up the American team in Rio de Janeiro. They’re about five miles into the race and Tim is running with the top pack. Long way to go. If he does make it, which according to the “experts” is a long shot, then he’ll be the first Worcester runner to ever qualify for the Olympic games. He did get one 10th place vote in the “experts” predictions:
