Earlier today we published a blog about this Winchester bankruptcy lawyer who thought it would be wise to post this death wish on Facebook:
Not cool. I don’t particularly care for Elizabeth Warren but I would prefer if she not die. Plus, even if she got run over by a train she’d just get replaced by someone almost as bad. This is the kid of discourse that is killing the country right now, and it comes from both sides. How can we ever expect to find common ground when there are politically active people out there posting stuff like this all over social media for the world to see? I miss the 90’s when Bill Weld and John Kerry could get together for a beer after a contentious campaign.
Anyway, we’re just following up to let people know what a GREAT law firm Marques works for. A turtle rider sent Parker and Associates a very congenial and well worded email expressing why the post bothered him, and might deter him from doing business with this firm if he were to declare bankruptcy. They responded with a email which the turtle rider forwarded to us and we wanted to share, because it was perfect:
I am sorry I do not know your name, but wanted to write to apologize for the posting by my employee and to thank you for taking the time to bring this to my attention. Needless to say, I am not only sickened to learn of the posting, but he has been strongly reprimanded and the account has been deleted. I have worked my entire professional life to assist people in trouble, regardless of their political beliefs as it is the mission of this firm to provide caring and compassionate legal representation. I can assure you that his views are not that of the firm and wanted to thank you for being a concerned citizen and reaching out to me.
Nina M. Parker, Esq.
Parker and Associates
God bless this woman. She handled it perfectly. I did not want to see this guy fired over a dumb social media post. Dude has a kid, and when you fuck with someone’s livelihood you fuck with their ability to care for their kid. The kid didn’t do anything wrong.
I just wanted him to learn how inappropriate it was for him to post something like that. Because we’re all about teachable moments here at Turtleboy Sports. It boggles my mind that grown adults don’t understand that when you are on social media you are ALWAYS REPRESENTING THE COMPANY YOU WORK FOR!!! Do people really not get that by now? Anyone can just Google your name and the first thing they’re gonna do is associate you with your company.
That’s why anyone who uses their real name and posts anything except baby pictures and non-controversial happy thoughts isn’t ready to handle the Internet. You wanna say whatever you want? Start a blog called Turtleboy Sports. We used to be where you once were. Then we figured out that if you use an alias you can say what you’re really thinking. Problem solved.
Anyway, please don’t bother this law firm. They’ve done everything right, and this woman who put her blood, sweat, and tears into building up a law firm that helps you start all over from scratch, should not be negatively affected by the stupid actions of one of her employees. Shouout to Nina Parker, Esq. The next time I declare bankruptcy you will be getting my business, and I will be hiring Marques Lipton because Turtleboy believes in forgiveness and redemption.
