A man accused of beating a dog so severely it was coughing blood and limping has been arrested for animal cruelty. Police say Mark Hurd, 22, left the dog in critical condition Friday. Officers say they arrived at a home to find Hurd dragging the pit bull down the driveway after the abuse had been reported to them.
“It’s extremely disappointing to see this type of violence perpetrated on an animal especially a domesticated pet,” Everett Police Chief Steven Mazzie said. “The Everett Police Department takes these cases seriously and would like to remind the public to report abuse of this type if they witness it.”

Neighbors told Boston 25 News the dog, Chance, is ‘docile and friendly.’ Others said they had been woken up Friday morning by the commotion. Chance was rushed to a veterinary hospital for emergency treatment. Police say he is barely hanging on. Hurd has been held without bail as the abuse charges have been added onto a probation violation.
Oh, and he’s a drug dealer with a bunch of Google trophies too:
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – t’s not the breed, it’s the people who own the breed. Pit bulls are like flat brimmed Chicago Bulls hats. Assholes are drawn to them and they always go down with their owners. Neither the hat nor the pit bull is inherently evil. Except pit bulls have a pulse and can be good pets when they’re owned by the right people.

Yup, that about sums up the internal dialogue of someone who would beat their dog so badly that it might not live, and then drag the dog down the driveway for the whole hood to see.
He lives by a strict motto:
Guess what he wants is to beat defenseless animals, go to jail, and become Turtleboy famous. Mission accomplished.
Oh, and he’s a “real man”:
“This world is cruel and challenging.”
Yea, I think your dog might agree with that too.
Luckily dogs are the most untouchable breathing creatures on the Internet. You can kick the shit out of a little old lady and it won’t generate half the outrage of doing something like this to a dog. So his life will never be the same at this point:
Cat people, I’ll fuck with. But I don’t fuck with dog people. That’s just common sense. We don’t even have to tear this loser a new browneye. The Internet will do that for him. Especially since his Facebook page is wide open. Feel free to send him your thoughts and prayers so he can read them when he gets bailed out on Monday.
