Yesterday we published this blog about gun reform activist and current Parkland student David Hogg.
We’re usually pretty critical of him for good reason, but with this blog we actually pointed out that he’s smart for not going to college next year. He has a platform and an audience right now that he could monetize. He should take his fame and convert it into a career as a left wing commentator, because clearly he’s good at being the spokesperson for left wing causes.
Then this happened today:
My personal account with admin control to the Turtleboy Sports Smiles and Sunshine page that made that post is now suspended for 30 days. Other bloggers still have access to the page, but I don’t. And I was in contact with many people who were sending us story ideas, including Mark Lutchman who is due to come on our podcast tonight. Now we can’t do that.
The Smiles and Sunshin page is also shadowbanned, and thus was likely not even reported by anyone. How could they? No one can see it. This means that even mentioning the name “David Hogg” will get you suspended by Facebook. It is not allowed.
I’d take my business elsewhere, but as Lindsey Graham pointed out yesterday, there is no alternative to Facebook. They are a monopoly and we are all subject to their flawed system.
