Fitchburg Sentinel: A Beekman Street man was shot twice Saturday after pulling a BB gun on a man he was trying to purchase a laptop from using counterfeit cash, police said. Felipe H. DaSilva, 21, of 7 Beekman St., Apt. B6, was wounded twice by a 31-year-old Worcester man who had gone to DaSilva’s apartment to purchase a laptop at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, said Capt. Steven Giannini.
He said the Worcester man and DaSilva connected on Craigslist about the laptop, and the two agreed to meet Saturday to complete the purchase. After the Worcester man handed the computer to DaSilva, the Fitchburg man paid with what the Worcester man believed to be counterfeit currency, said Giannini. The Worcester man demanded his computer back and DaSilva pulled a weapon, later found to be a BB gun, from his pants and refused to hand the machine over, Giannini said. The Worcester man, who Giannini said was licensed to carry a handgun, pulled his weapon from his waistband and fired several shots, striking DaSilva twice. DaSilva then fled on foot, he said.
When police arrived at Beekman Street, Giannini said, the Worcester man was “extremely cooperative” and immediately showed officers his license and surrendered his weapon.
Less than an hour later, representatives from Clinton Hospital called the police department and reported a Fitchburg man had been admitted there suffering from two non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, he said
Let me tell ya, this Felipe DaSilva kid is a real winner:
Is there anything more bootleg than a temporary 978 tattoo? This kid reminds me of Jesse Pinkman except he can’t cook meth and he sucks at robbery.
Here’s what happened. This kid thinks he’s a hardo because he has an apartment in Fitchburg and rocks a Voke-stache with an equally offensive chinstrap. So he thinks he can rip off townies with these Craig’s List scams and a BB gun. And it might’ve worked a couple times with some schmucks from Princeton or Westminster. But you don’t pull a move like this on a Worcester guy, because he’ll shoot you. And rightfully so.
This Turtleboy has never owned a gun, but I’m starting to think this is pretty irresponsible on my part. We’re living in a fucked up world and criminals are having a field day. At some point a family man has to come to the point where he realizes that it’s his responsibility to protect Turtleboy Jr. at all costs. Kind of sick of seeing the Felipe DaSilva’s of the world push law abiding citizens around.
Love the fact that the guy stuck around and proudly showed officer his LTC and surrendered his weapon. This was like an infomercial for responsible gun ownership. Felipe not only stole from this man, he threatened his life. BB guns look just like real guns, and the purpose of pulling the BB gun was to make him believe that it was a real gun. Then he got shot and he ran to Clinton. Like they weren’t gonna find his dumb Voke-stache in Clinton. The purpose of punishing criminals is to deter them from committing crimes. And since that clearly isn’t working these days it looks like it’s up to law abiding citizens to do that themselves. You think Felipe is gonna be robbing anyone else via Craig’s List anymore? Not unless he wants to find his ass handcuffed to a gurney in Clinton again.
Don’t be fooled though – Felipe is wicked hardcore:
Yea, tough guys meet up face to face, pull out BB guns and end up getting shot AND arrested. And they also write stuff like this repeatedly on Facebook:
It’s like reading the diary of a 15 year old girl:
Clinton isn’t quite Brazil, but it’s pretty close. Gotta agree with Felipe here though – it might be time to make some life changes because things aren’t really working out right now.
