Yesterday we told you the story about the Worcester woman who encouraged Worcester gangster to “Kill Donald Trump.”
Well as it turns out a bunch of people were listening to the police scanner yesterday around 7:30 when a cruiser was dispatched to this young lady’s house. But they weren’t going to investigate the threat, they were going because SHE called the cops. Apparently she was fired from her job today, and consequently she wants to file charges against Turtleboy Sports for……something. Because if you’re a millennial in 2015 then nothing is every your fault and there should never be consequences for poor decision making.
Let me just say that it’s not Turtleboy’s goal to get anyone fired. Our job is to bring news to people. And when people are openly putting hits out on a presidential candidate who is coming to Worcester, that’s newsworthy. I don’t know what these kids don’t understand about the Internet these days, but it isn’t your diary. When you put shit out there everyone can see it. If you wouldn’t stand in Lincoln Square with those words on a sign, then you shouldn’t put it on Twitter. Because a lot more people on Twitter every day than travel through Lincoln Square. I mean, I thought the younger generation was supposed to be better with technology and understand it’s powers? Guess not.
Welcome to reality Kalen, where you represent the company you work for when you speak on social media. And they have every right to get rid of you if you affect their brand. I would’ve LOVED to see the police officer’s reaction after getting dispatched to that call. “So earlier today I put the call out to murder Donald Trump. No big deal. I was totally just kidding. Then all of a sudden Turtleboy showed his followers what I said, and now my boss fired me because of it. Can you go arrest…..someone? For….something?”
Lesson learned. Be smarter next time.
