Quick update on the injury that got the Live show cancelled this weekend.
So I got shoulder tendinitis and there’s a bunch of calcium up in there causing some problems for me. As a result I was hopped up on pills and generally in pain over the weekend so it wouldn’t have been a good show. Now I personally think it was caused by the fact that I try to shoot 200 free throws a day in my driveway. I shoot about 80% from the line, which is the only thing that keeps you on the court when you’re 5’9″, white, and 37 years old. You gotta keep up with your free throws folks, or else you’re gonna be riding the pine at the JCC men’s league.
But my wife thinks it was caused by blogging and computer use was the top cause that came up when she entered it into the Google machine. And honestly, I believe her because she’s very wise. I’ll tell you one thing folks – bloggin ain’t easy. Shit gets real out in these streets. We gotta deal with plugins, wifi access, fupa computers, going back and forth between the shift button because of all the Turtleboy punctuation – there’s a million ways to get hurt out there. I’m running on two hours of sleep, I haven’t shaved because it hurts to even lift up my arm that high, and I’ve been wearing this same shirt for two days.
But guess what? I don’t care. It’s all in the game yo, all in the game. Am I in pain? Of course. Is that gonna stop me from blogging? Nah son. That’s violation of the gangsta blogger’s code. Gangsta bloggers don’t play. I didn’t choose the blog life, the blog life chose me. And the blogs must continue.
So if your kid ever tells you they’re considering starting a blog, show them this video to scare them straight. Not everyone is cut out for the game.
