Kathy Griffin made a fool of herself the other day by putting together some “artwork” of herself holding a decapitated head of Donald Trump in a video:
Anyway, it’s backfired pretty badly for her. She’s lost a shitload of endorsements and shows, and CNN cancelled her New Year’s Eve appearance. When 11 year old Barron Trump saw this he thought it was her father’s head. Everything that could’ve gone wrong, has gone wrong.
But honestly, it’s really not that big of a deal when you think about it. I mean, these nutjobs have been calling Trump a Nazi and equating to Hitler for so long that would did anyone expect would happen? Obviously no one would care if she did this to Hitler’s head, so who cares if she does it to Trump’s? Kathy Griffin just got carried away with standard operating procedure. She genuinely thought this would be well received.
But instead of just taking her ball and going home she’s doing what all SJWs do when their backs are against the wall – playing the victim. And you gotta see how she did this with her feministo lawyer at this INSANE press conference today:
HAHAHHAHAHHAA!! Amazing. Absolutely amazing that you can take this image:
And claim to be the victim.
So many amazing quotes:
“A sitting president of the United States, and his grown children, and the first lady, are personally – I feel – personally trying to ruin my life forever.”
Oh yea, it’s Trump’s fault. He made you do this. Trump is the one who made this front page news.
Then she played the “bullied” and “old white guy” cards:
“I’m not afraid of Donald Trump. He’s a bully. I’ve dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down my whole life, my whole career. I’m a woman in very male-dominated field. … There’s a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me. And I’m just here to say that’s wrong. … This wouldn’t be happening to a guy. This is a woman thing … I’ve been living this my whole career.”
Oh poor Kathy and her persecuted vagina. She’s been dealing with this her “whole career.” And she’s only made millions of dollars being a terribly unfunny ginger whose entire routine revolves around not shutting up.
And just for the record, no one is trying to shut her up. It’s a free country and she can say what she wants. She has the right to hold Trump’s bloody head up like a trophy buck. But the companies she has business ties with also have the right to cancel ties with her when she affects their reputation. And that’s what happened here. Americans were disgusted by this, they called all the places where she had ties to, these companies realized it wasn’t worth it to keep her around, and now she can’t find any work. Donald Trump didn’t silence her. The free market did.
But she said she would continue her crusade against him regardless:
“I’m gonna make fun of the President.”
Go for it. This isn’t making fun of him. This is just fucking bizaree. It’s weirdness for the sake of weirdness. You did it to be edgy, but most people looked at it and were like, “I don’t get it.”
Naturally she did it for the 12 year old nerdy girl:
“If I don’t stand up and say this, I’m afraid there’s gonna be some 12-year-old nerdy girl like me in Oak Park, Illinois, who’s gonna maybe be watching me to see what I do. And this bully, this president, of all people, is gonna come after me? … I’m not laying down for this guy.”
You go girl!! Wait, what exactly has Trump done to go after you?
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 31, 2017
He said you should be ashamed of yourself and he voiced concern for his son. Yup, what an asshole!! Ain’t nobody gonna “lay down for him.”
She then claimed that she’s been doing jokes like this since the 90’s when she cracked anecdotes about President Clinton’s cumstained dress:
“You could make dress jokes all day long, but you can’t make jokes about Trump.”
Yea, jokes are funny. This isn’t a joke:
It’s just weird. And gross. Kind of like you. Besides that though she’s spot on. Making jokes about a DNA stamp and holding a bloodied and severed head with a serious and angry face are basically the exact same kinds of comedy.
Then the tears came out:
“This is America, and you shouldn’t have to die for [a joke.] The death threats I’m getting, they’re constant, and they are detailed, and they are serious, and they are specific. Today it’s me, and tomorrow it could be you.”
Oh yea, I’m sure Donald Trump never gets death threats. Turtleboy either. How will you ever survive after reading mean words on the Internet? Mean words can kill you.
Then she pulled a move right out of the Trump playbook:
“What’s happening to me has never happened, ever, in the history of this great country,”
— CBS News (@CBSNews) May 17, 2017
It’s almost as if Donald Trump and Kathy Griffin are both drama queens who have an extensive background in show business. She makes a good point though. No comedian has ever had mean words written to her about that one time she held a severed head of the President in an art project.
Basically she had 48 hours to think about how she was gonna play this one. Every hour she got another phone call telling her a show had been cancelled, and she realized that apologizing and going on the defensive wasn’t gonna go anywhere. So she did what these whiny SJWs always do nowadays – blame everything on Trump. Trump is so bad that he leaves you no choice but to do this to him. Gee, I wonder why it’s so hard for people to people like her seriously.
