Just a reminder that Transportation Secretary and Charlie Baker’s pet freak show Stephanie Pollack still has a job, despite the RMV ignoring 53 bins of information about licensed drivers who got DUI’s and other infractions in other states. Baker promised reform, which apparently means suspending the licenses of law abiding citizens and then forcing them to pay $100 to get it back.
Reader Email: I have an interesting story about the RMV you may be interested in. It was brought to my attention yesterday, August 19, that my license was suspended the prior Friday due to an out of state (Arkansas) OUI that occurred 16 years ago. I paid all fines, attended classes, and had my license reinstated in both states 16 years ago, yet it came back because the registry allegedly forgot to charge me 100 dollars 16 years ago. I say allegedly because I believe I paid it but obviously cannot prove it now.
I am sure that I am one of many who are going to be affected by this. This could have had detrimental repercussions to my life and career due to the registry’s negligence. I could have ended up in jail because they suspended my license without notifying me. The only reason I found out was because my employer runs our license status weekly. The logical thing to do would have been to send me a bill and have me pay it. In my opinion this is abuse of government authority. It also took 4 hours to get through to the registry to find out what was going on, I waited on hold the entire time. There is absolutely no reason why citizens should be gravely affected by the shortfalls of the registry. I hope this story interests you and I’m sure if you dig you will find many others like mine.
What a stupid state we live in. No matter what they do in Massachusetts, they manage to fuck it up. And ultimately you pay the price so some hack like Stephanie Pollack can keep getting paid.
This is what happens when a state that can’t figure out how to open up some boxes attempts to fix it’s broken system – they just fuck it up over more. Literally everything the RMV touches turns to shit. That’s just the way it works around here.
This is all happening because Boris Clitoris got a DUI in Connecticut a month before he killed 7 bikers in New Hampshire, and the Massachusetts RMV never got the information from the Connecticut RMV because it was sitting in a bin in Quincy. This is the same shithead who tipped over a truck just a couple weeks before the incident, and a couple months after he was arrested in Texas for being higher than Ben Allbright’s LSAT scores while driving a truck and stopping to eat at a Denny’s.
We all agree that people like Boris Clitoris should lose their license as part of this “reform.” But instead they’re going after guys who got DUI’s 16 years ago in Arkansas, and can’t prove that they paid to have their license reinstated. Oh, and they’re not telling drivers either because communication is still not their strong point. They’re just out here stealing from people because they know there isn’t jack shit we can do about it.
This is attempting to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. It’s nothing more than using a tragedy as a backhanded way to tax law abiding citizens. Did Stephanie Pollack get a salary reduction? Nope. This won’t cost her a dime, and she’ll still maintain employment despite getting 7 people killed.
Charlie Baker is such a piece of shit, but he keeps the people happy by being a moderate “Republican” who never misses an opportunity to condemn Trump in order to keep dumbass liberals happy.
