Yesterday we shared with you the REAL story about 71 year old Chris Horton, who was arrested at Monday’s MLK breakfast for assaulting a police officer. After he was handcuffed he tripped and fell while running away, which can clearly be seen on this video:

The old man acted a fool and he fell down and went boom. Case closed, right? LOL. Wrong:

Wait….what??? The woman who arrested him should be charged? For what? He assaulted her because he wanted to take MLK day and make it all about him, and she wouldn’t let him. Then she follows proper procedure, puts him in bracelets and tries to walk him out of there, and in the process he falls down because that’s what out of shape 71 year old men have a tendency to do. Here’s what the lawyer is trying to say:

“She put her foot in front of him to make him trip and while he was off balance pushed him to the ground,” Foley said. “This is a maneuver designed to force compliance taught by police academies.”

“We wonder why the police officer wasn’t charged with a felony of assault and battery on a person over 65,” Foley continued. “She instigated this. She tackled him. He was injured and taken to the hospital.”

Well, first of all, no she didn’t. If she did, we’d love to see the tape of it. But even if she did, this guy is admitting that she was taught to do this in the police academy. In other words, she was doing the job she was trained to do. But please, tell me more about why she should be arrested.

Oh yea, and let’s not gloss over the fact that he didn’t really need to go to the hospital. Let’s not forget that he TOLD THE EMT’s that he had a pre-existing condition that he wanted to go to the ER for, which had nothing to do with the arrest. Here’s what the old man had to say for himself:

“This is not the sort of thing that procedure that’s appropriate for subduing someone of my age,” Horton said.

Oh I see, you’re allowed to break the law and assault officers because you’re 71. And in return you’re not allowed to be arrested like a normal person, because you have special old man privileges. Hey genius, this isn’t Denny’s and you’re not getting the senior discount. I liked this guy for a minute because I thought he was sticking it to greedy lenders. But it turns out he’s just another victim looking for a pay day.
