This is why teachers can’t have nice things:

Love teachers, don’t get me wrong. But what kind of example is your union setting for children when they endorse a man who was arrested and charged with choking his ex-girlfriend in 2012 because she cheated on him?

Shame on the MTA. Do they even know about this, or do they just not give a shit? Are we not spreading the word to enough people? Moses Dixon was arrested and charged with a serious crime against a woman. It’s all right in the sworn affidvait that Kristal Hansley signed under penalties of perjury when she got this restraining order days after the incident happened. It’s also written in the police report (which Moses could produce but chooses not to) that the victim was indeed covered with red marks from choking. Her phone was also smashed on the floor, which Moses later admitted to doing in a fit of rage. He is permanently disqualified from holding public office.

Meanwhile Kate Campanale has worked in the Leicester Public Schools and she comes from a family of teachers. In other words, the MTA hates women. Yea, this one makes TONS of sense. The fact that the MTA is blindly in the bag for whatever candidate has a D next to their name is the reason teachers get paid so much less than cops. The police unions are strong and run by competent people. They aren’t loyal to any particular party and have big meetings to weigh the pros and cons of each candidate. Teachers don’t do any of that. They just pay their dues, which pay the bloated salaries of a bunch of people at the MTA who have never taught before, who then blindly throw that money at women-beaters like Moses Dixon.

How can you post this a day after posting a blog supporting public schools? Teachers unions and their public schools are an old, failing model. Vote yes on 2.

Schools should be empowered to actually expel students. Better yet if you punk or thug put you relinquish your “right” to an education. But at end of day missing or lazy parents in inner city are to blame.

As a general voting rule I personally always vote the opposite of Union endorsements. Just happens.

True Reality Speaks-“And you still profit from the payback deals the pol passes back to the union for their support.”……………Worcester firefighters endorsed Mayor Joe Petty, City Manager Ed Augustus’ buddy, yet have been fighting for a contract for YEARS and the city has forced their union to spend 10’s of thousands of dollars on lawyers trying to get a contract settled. So much for the “payback deals” you mentioned.

BOOM. This blog pretty much roasts the premise of the anti-charter blog below. Government unions are nothing but government sponsored super PACS for Democrats and other corrupt politicians.

    Thank a lib!

You just couldn’t muster up the strength to become a Union member?

The Education Association of Worcester ALWAYS endorses Democrats. They don’t even entertain a non Democrat viewpoint. They even make contributions to Dem campaigns without taking a vote. They have a committee who decides who to endorse. It’s ridiculous. I was on that committee once. There is NO chance they would ever endorse a Republican. They fall victim to the belief that higher taxes will lead to the schools having better working conditions, smaller class size, etc., and none of it happens. What you end up with is useless made up positions, six figure email senders, and hundreds of non-teaching positions being created all in the name of bettering education. Talk to some WPS employees, you will see that a HUGE number of them vote Republican because they are tired of watching these blowhards make twice as much as them and doing a fraction of the work. They are tired of watching families who milk the system drop their kids off in BMWs while wearing pajama bottoms while they just barely made it to work with the gas in the tank of their 8 year old cars. They are tired of paying higher taxes and seeing zero results. Some just won’t say it out loud.

Right – because the unions and the mob mentality of many of their hive members will make their lives a living hell.

So can ANY of the MOB tell me what exactly the unions are doing for the WORKERS, or the STUDENTS?

Negotiating pathetic pay raises and keeping them from getting fired when a lunatic Principal decides he or she doesn’t like them. Without the union, teachers would never have a voice. If a teacher took a stand against something the Principal didn’t agree with, or called attention to the school by reporting something, the Principal would go batshit crazy and bully, harass, and terrorize those teachers.

The D-party is responsible for the New Deal era Federal law that requires union membership as a condition of employment in a union environment. If you take a union job you cannot opt out of the union and stop the withholding the union dues from your check which go to the D-party. I’ve never heard of a teachers union endorsing a Republican but I heard of a private-sector union endorse a Republican state senator because he was one of the few in the country who actually backed labor.

If the Federal law is repealed then it would become voluntary to join a union.

When a union endorses a candidate, all it means is that the top 3-4 elected union officers decided who they should endorse. They don’t take a poll of the union body. A union could have thousands of members and a very small handful decides who they should endorse. The union members can vote for whoever they want, they don’t have to vote for the person their union backs. It sounds impressive for a candidate to have union endorsements, but in reality, the endorsement doesn’t necessarily translate to more votes.

Right – none of the fake voters, sign holders, poll observers, phone bank callers, or van drivers bringing homeless, etc people to the polls to vote Democrat on Election Day are union members. LOL!

And you still profit from the payback deals the pol passes back to the union for their support. People of integrity and character don’t do this. Rationalize it all you want, you’re complicit and profit from this seedy and corrupt relationship.

I worked as a custodian at a High School when I was a kid during the summer. One time they had a retirement party and some “Union Officials” showed up. I swear they looked like extras from a Sopranos episode. I stayed on the other side of the food table, they were as big as linemen and were crowding on the other side. I doubt they could add 2+2 never mind know what was done at the school all day. I was able to not pay dues, otherwise I would be paying for these good fellas summer houses.

And also why I’m voting Yes on 2. The teachers mafia needs to be kicked any way possible.

  • Ryan Sweeney

This is exactly why people should be voting for Trump. California teachers sued to get out of these unions. They didn’t like where their dues money was being spent particularly on candidates like Moses Dixon. The case went before the Supreme Court unfortunately the Supreme Court only had eight justices and they deadlocked at four to four. A Trump victory will ensure the proper justices are appointed to the court and people will be free from being forced to join the union or pay an agency fee.

The teachers union must have been behind Scalia’s assassination (yes, he was assassinated!)
