If you haven’t heard the news yet, Turtleboy Sports DOMINATED the Worcester elections today. Don’t listen to the naysayers, this was a victory in every sense of the word. Let’s see why…

Joe Petty was reelected as mayor. Newsflash – Joe Petty was SUPPOSED to get reelected as Mayor. At the end of the day, we had never even heard of Mike Gaffney as of two years ago. Mike has no family in Worcester, he didn’t grow up here, and he basically ran his campaign with his wife and a guy named Cheeks.

Joe Petty is entrenched in Worcester. He’s been on the council for 18 years. He’s from the west side and he’s Irish. His wife is from the east side and she’s Italian. He had an unlimited campaign war chest.

Oh yea, and he had also had the backing of a large and powerful political machine, which he has denied the existence of for years. We forced them to show their colors. Jim McGovern was here so much in the last month he might’ve well have pitched a tent in the Krock’s abandoned parking lot. He had not one, but TWO United States Senators campaign for him. This article in the Boston Globe changed everything. It suggested that Worcester County was falling out of the machine’s hands. As soon as McGovern saw that he said, “not my fucking city.” There’s a reason he was here so often when he works in Washington D.C.

And that’s the best part about this – we made them sweat. You think Elizabeth fucking Warren wanted to make robocalls for Joe Petty on Friday? Liz Warren is kind of a big deal on a national level. You think she wants to bother herself with Worcester? A city that should be in the bag for the machine? Fuck no. There’s a reason Petty was so happy tonight – he’s relieved. He woke up in cold sweats for the last four months worrying about Gaffney and that fucking turtle. His nightmare ain’t over though.

Let’s look at the results:

As you can see Petty won pretty easily for Mayor. Now let’s look at the City Council results:

12204924_1646878618928748_1301648815_n

Petty beat Gaffney by over 2,000 votes for Mayor but only beat him by a little over 400 for the top spot on City Council. That means a shitload of people looked at the ballot and said, “I’m gonna vote for Petty because Gaffney is new and inexperienced, but at the end of the day I like that Gaffney is on the council pissing these assholes off and keeping them in check, so I’m gonna vote for him for council.”

That message was loud and clear tonight. Gaffney finished in 6th in 2013. In the primary he was 4th. Petty beat him by over 3,000 votes last time. Gaffney cut that down by 2,600 this time around. That right there is a huge victory for the TBS Revolution. The message has been sent – the people are watching. We care now. Thousands of people voted this time around who didn’t previously, and that number will only grow in 2017 when Petty steps down and Sarai Rivera makes her run for mayor.

The real revolution took place in the School Committee, because tonight was a referendum on the schools and Booneghazi. Check out these results:

12208127_1646878632262080_1137119711_n

Turtleboy Ticket finished 1-2. That is insane. Donna Colorio finished SEVENTH last time. She beat Jack freaking Foley, the Petty of the School Committee. Oh yea, and Hilda Ramirez and Tracy Novick are no longer a threat to WPS children anymore. They have been replaced by Colorio and Molly McCullough. We didn’t officially endorse Molly because it hurt the chances of Nick D’Andrea, but we were rooting for her. We trust Molly and think she’ll be really good on there. So basically we took the two weakest links, tossed them out and replaced them with smart people. And the top dog is now the 4th dog.

This proves that school safety and North High School were the most important issues in this election. If you were anti-cop and pro diversity trainings in schools, then you suffered. Foley, Novick, and Ramirez all opposed police at North High. McCullough, Colorio, O’Connell, and Biancheria all favored it. So did Gaffney. This was the primary message we’ve been sending, and clearly it resonated with the voters. If you’re anti-cops and anti-kid, we’re coming for you. Better get your ass down to Burger King and fill out an application Tracy.

Here’s some other hot takes to take out the election:

  • Turtle boy’s new nickname is the Hippie Slayer, because we slayed four major hippies tonight. Matt Wally supported the DOJ talks, Novick and Ramirez suck at everything, and Jennithan Cortes called up one of the Turtleboy Sponsors, harassed them and cost them a lot of business. He barely lost tonight. If he hadn’t done that we gladly would’ve backed him over Candy Carlson and he’d be on the City Council right now. But he chose to align with the hippies and now him and Tracy can start a blog together at Burger King.
  • From this point forward the message is sent loud and clear – Turtleboy is watching. We matter. We speak for thousands who won’t put up with the status quo anymore. This is a great thing for Worcester.
  • Konnie Lukes finished in a solid 4th place and easily won another term on the Council.
  • Kate Toomey literally doesn’t have to do anything and she’ll get reelected. People like her that much. She’ll never do anything to piss you off, but she’ll never be a leader like Gaffney. She’ll always be Kate Toomey, and that’s apparently enough to stay on the CC in Worcester.
  • Rob Sargent and Nicola D’Andrea did not win, but they got their names and messages out there and have set themselves up for a future run.
  • Cotey Collins got an impressive amount of votes for an 18 year old kid with a dream.
  • We would’ve gladly endorsed Juan Gomez if he wasn’t such a conniving snake. He lost by 100 votes because he chose to to befriend Sarai Rivera instead of Turtleboy. Big mistake. We spotted Kevin Ksen’s rape van out and about the city this morning. This cost him the election:

12118717_1676219409290710_4106119302979301995_n

  • Sarai Rivera had a 100% chance of winning. We backed her opponent Jackie Kostas, but we knew she had no shot. Sarai is the Queen B of District 4. She’s the mother fucking GODFATHER of Main South. She has no problem dropping a body or casting your soul to an eternity hell if you cross her or don’t put enough money in the basket on Sunday. But at the end of the day we’ve made sure that that is all she will ever be.

12202012_10205694948276621_180390391_n

  • Cindy Nguyen is to be congratulated for running a great campaign. It’s not easy for a 22 year old woman to beat an established politician like Tony Economou in such a high voter turnout district, but she gave it a shot. Ultimately Tony is not a problem not a problem on the council, so we don’t mind him staying on.
  • Tina Zlody got destroyed. She sucks. Another victory for the TBS Revolution.
  • Big time congratulations are in order to Khrystian King for his impressive 6th place finish tonight. He is the first black man to serve on the City Council in 70 years. Diversity is a good thing, but only if the people elected are competent and capable. We like Khrystian King. The guy worked his ass off and we’re excited to see what he’s all about. He earned his seat on the Council. Big ups to him

12009820_861157307303413_3424547845047527833_n

  • King replaces Dicky Rushton!!! The City Council just lost by far its weakest link tonight. There’s no way on earth King can be worse than him. That’s a net victory for Worcester. And make no mistake about it, Dicky dropped out because we made it impossible for him to win. He would’ve finished in ninth AT BEST tonight. Khrystian King is a polished, intelligent looking man. This is the man he is replacing:

rick-rushton-race1

  • Moe Bergman almost lost tonight, and it’s not a coincidence. Moe needs to pick a side. The machine doesn’t back him and neither does Turtleboy. We’ve seen his picture at way too many Petty functions to trust him, and he’s not nearly as vocal as he needs to be on the Council. This is a wake up call that he’s either with the hippies, or he’s with Turtleboy, or he’s gonna lose his seat in 2017.
  • Mike Gaffney is now the Vice Chairman of the City Council. When Joe Petty goes to take a piss he becomes de facto mayor.

The bottom line is, this was a GREAT night for Worcester, the Turtleboy Sports Revolution, and Michael Gaffney. We did this all in less than a year too. Imagine what it’s gonna be like in 2017. Jump on board the turtle folks, because we ain’t going ANYWHERE!!!

I left Worcester a couple years ago and grew up there my whole life. I started reading this blog before it went political, because the writer was intelligent and witty and it was nice to see articles about stupid f*cks from home doing stupid sh*t and then getting put on blast. It’s too bad the. Blog has to align itself with a “side”, or rather it’s too bad it seems to have lost its sense of independent idealism I thought it had in the beginning to some extent. $ changes things and people. Seems a sellout to me. And I get it, can’t say I would or would not go the same route were I in that position. The writer, and yea I do think its one writer and if it isn’t at this point that’s probably purely semantics with a heavy editorial hand before the words hit the site, approaches every story from a oreconcieved standpoint and writes from it as a result. Cashing in on what the national media is… The new age of Internet social media activism. The same sh*t has been going on for years back and forth with racial tension but overall I think improving. Who knows. Maybe I’m not speaking for the majority here but I feel like things have or had been steadily improving as society as a whole realized that not everything is black and white (unintentional reference but how fitting..). Now, single incidents become national headlines due to technological advances. What’s wrong with that is that a lot of us grew up when sh*t wasn’t like that. U knew sht was serious when Everyone knew about it.. Makes sense and it held true. Now that’s not the case. Everyone hears about whatever the powers that be decide to drop into our Facebook newsfeed. It’s actUally nuts. All my fb friends who I know didn’t give a. Fkc about politics or racial equality issues or anything related to society are now every other day posting a link to some wild video by retards in Alabama like, oh sht this white dude or black dude just did this to someone of the opposite race WHERE IS THE JUDTICE!!!! Gtfo… This machine talk? The whole idea of a political machine is that people just play their part and don’t question sht. So u want to replace one with another? Both sides are fcked. That’s life. That’s why it isn’t black and white. And why u shouldn’t just blindly follow anything period. And why this sucks that this blog is the same as the force it’s Fighting against, not In beliefs but in method. Imo it comes down to agenda. I always ask, why is this person doing this, what is their motive? Someone with the right answer but wrong motive takes looking at twice becaUs chances are they Are more likely to continue making decisions based on their motives than individual situations. rip to what I thought was a closer to home version of barstool where I actually saw dudes I grew up with mentioned and pics of in the articles. And I still click on the links with stories that sound like a good time like the G who tried to hit cop with a Kia. See… That had all the ingredients for an amazing read but I was just waiting for it to be made into another story for a bigger purpose and to forwArd some movement.. Can’t we just make fun of white trash, hood dudes doing stupid hood shit, the town kids, g hill kids, and ever other wutastic creation that comes from the magestic 508? I hate reading sht and feeling like I have to be careful to not get brainwashed if I don’t take a cigarette after each paragraph and never read two articles directly in a row. Chill on the Fox News type sht and get back to calling it how u saw it like u did before u was Internet famoso kid. Don’t fix what wasn’t broken. Enjoy the snow kiddies. -out

Residents of the Woo, at the end of the day, know the City is not safe. There are no “good” neighborhoods anymore only a few “good” streets. This is fact, anyone who lives in the City knows this. And once again Thanksgiving will come around and former residents will return and say things “what happened to Grafton Hill?” “how did Hamilton Street get so bad ?” “why is Greendale so ghetto” “can’t believe there are home invasions off Salisbury”. Fact is, who has been in charge during this time ? the past ten or so years ?

Contributions by those with no obvious means to contribute, so called straw contributors, are illegal and are prosecuted. But the AG and OCPF needs to investigate. Perhaps OCPF is investigating. This stuff does not happen overnight.

This blog did absolutely nothing to gain gaffney any significant support. It’s a fact that a majority of the people who read this BS that you spew everyday were originally going to vote for gaffney. MAYBE you changed the minds of 30 people but clearly that wasn’t enough. Better luck next time TB.

Looks like everyone can declare victory and go home. This blog provided hard evidence of problems with contributions to the Rivera campaign. Not baseless accusations but hard evidence. Same for Mosaic. Hard evidence not baseless accusations. If the AG does not want to pursue it that is another matter. As far as the audit. An audit conducted by the administration with most to gain by finding no irregularities despite the evidence ? really ? Petty won no doubt. But Gaffney is close by, and gaining momentum. Did anyone give any chance of Gaffney winning 2 years ago ? anyone but the candidate ? Novick was plain wrong on so many issues not to mention sticking nose in all kinds of other business and wasting school committee’s time with the February 2013 MASC meaningless vote er resolutions. Been waiting ever since to have our block of votes take her out of the top 6.

“This blog provided hard evidence of problems with contributions to the Rivera campaign.”

He ever submitted that in court as “hard evidence” and the judge would laugh him out of the building. His accusation was she was giving them money to contribute back. Where is the “hard evidence” of that? Someone who owes money to another party and donating to a campaign is not proof of anything but someone that owes money elsewhere donated to a campaign. And that’s all TB showed as “proof”.

“Looks like everyone can declare victory and go home.”

Declare anything you want, but it is clear to everyone outside of the turtle-nation who won and loss.

Happy to see Petty re-elected as mayor. Now the Turtleboy has to wait before having power and control like he wants. I would love to see the monthly bill that Gaffney spends at Turtleboy a month (if there even is one). I’m sure he gets charged the normal amount (no chance) and ironic enough his advertisement is not at the bottom of the page like your other sponsors. You made sure to put it at the top where people could see. What about the other sponsors who pay the montly rate to be sponsored by you? You can see there advertisements after scrolling for about 15 minutes non stop. This is not a win for you so please don’t make it seem like you are the all mighty because there are plenty of people out there who work harder than you. You criticize everyone all day and never say anthing negative about yourself. Be fair to the people of Worcester. You complain about the McGovern Crime Family, what about the Turtle Crime Family? Just as corrupt.

The reality is this blog in large part is driving the agenda and making City Hall accountable. Since the T&G is unwilling or unable to do any investigative reporting it is up to this blog to uncover some of the malfeasance. beside the misdeeds of Mosaic for example was the campaign finance “irregularities” in Sarai Rivera campaign reports. The funny thing is City Hall probably generates dozens of separate hits alone to this site on a daily basis.

“The audit came back as no issues.”

-violations of state labor laws. Mosaic did not properly compensate its employees for months of work,
-subcontracts that were not executed before the grant
        -lack of backup documentation.
-The Family Health Center and UMass Memorial still have outstanding invoices as of the release of the audit.
-Mosaic failed to provide notification that its staff were employed by the Covenant United Methodist Church, acting as an unapproved fiscal agent. (Credit Frank Lee)

The question that remain unanswered is what effect did this blog play? I honestly can tell you, very little. I think it started off as a good dialogue. There was some back and forth, then as the election approached, it became an echo chamber. I get Gaffney was putting bread on the table but come on, the man doesn’t walk on water. You were hellbent at total victory, and now that you didn’t achieve it, you’re back peddling.
    Gaffney for Mayor (Lost)
    Cindy (Lost)
    Kostas (Lost)
    Seargent (Lost)
You picked Lukes and Gaffney but thats a safe bet. Even money no Payout. So with the picks you went 0-4. Gaffney and Lukes would have been reelected pretty much no matter what.

School committee same deal You played it safe. Of course Brian O’Connell was going to win (No payout). I am shocked Donna came in second; however she worked hard. Most likely would have been reelected regardless of your existence. in the non election picks you went 1-7. Then to make the numbers worse, most of your candidates got buried. Get more back and forth and less echo …echo…echo and maybe you can one day play a small role in Worcester Politics. The only thing this website was good for was seeing what Mike Gaffney was wearing today.

The Petty people can frame this anyway they want. Petty winning was expected. Gaffney showing strong was not. Petty has to be looking over his shoulder. And school committee nights will be interesting especially since we need to hire someone to fix he Boone mess and Petty lost two of his most vocal supporters. Colorio’s win and strong showing was nothing less than stunning and should be a wake up call. In fact Petty woke up and started pushing public safety in the last four weeks ago and made many forget his claims that the City was save when anyone who lives here knows otherwise. Next up the state rep. But having Tracy Novick’s political career cut short is sweet.

  • Dm
    November 4, 2015 at 11:16 am

This wasn’t a victory per se, but more of an influence in the right direction. IT was disappointing that Gaffney did win the mayoral spot, but you can’t win all of the battles all of the time though. I guess the logical thing is to keep laying the pressure on the city council and keep calling them out on their nefarious antics.

Tracy Novick losing was fantastic. Maybe she should have stuck to school business instead of putting her nose into all things political. Better yet, maybe she should have listened and watched at what is happening in some of the high schools. Gaffney was a long shot but a strong second place shows the deep support he has in the Woo.

    • Haha
      November 4, 2015 at 10:19 am

I love the back-peddling. Not one of you said Gaffney was a long shot over the past few months. All that came out of all of your mouths was how he is going to bury Petty. And a strong 2nd? After the primaries, we all heard from the turtle camp how that 1000 vote margin was nothing and as soon as all the people come out and vote in the real election we would all see it was just a fluke that Petty was leading. Now that Petty more than doubled that gap its a strong finish?

      • nick
        November 4, 2015 at 10:37 am

You consider that a strong finish? With the political endorsement machines that were in play for petty, a strong finish! If it were 70% – to 30% that would have been a strong finish. You have some To some it maybe a strong finish, but hardly a mandate…

Anyone who then would backhand an endorsement of a Petty contender as he did with this; “As a longtime supporter of the Worcester police, I was disappointed by the news that the Worcester Police Patrolman’s Union has endorsed one of my opponents in the race for Mayor. While I am disappointed, it is my understanding that only 40 of the city’s 345 patrol officers participated in this vote and I am confident that it is not reflective of the overall membership of the union.” it clearly shows he is removed what is going on in Worcester regardless of his claims.

I never said it was a strong finish. I guess you went to the same school of reading comprehension that TB did. Twist it till it says what I want it to!

“it clearly shows he is removed what is going on in Worcester regardless of his claims.”
The voters of the city seem to disagree with you.

            yo dumbass, read what you write before you have diarrhea of the mouth;

“Now that Petty more than doubled that gap its a strong finish?”
2ndly, it would appear you have little knowledge of how the political machine in worcester works. Many just vote for the candidate that their political machine tells them to vote for… some actually weigh the platforms while others just check the (i) box.

Trump has popularity, so it seems that just because more people vote for you, it does *not* mean you aren’t a bad person, or disconnected, or anything.

There is no possible relationship to exist between any of the aforementioned points of people here, be it you, TBS, Jeffrey, or anyone, about which person is best based on winning or losing by *x* amount of votes.

Why can’t people just be impartial and admit that it is still possible that Petty and Gaffney both are disconnected from issues, be it one or another, left or right winged?

All in all, the Turtleboy ticket did fail, but there are some names he mentioned as liking but not “picking” to win that got on. I would have to say, overall I am happy with the results. I think there’s a good mix here. And with Gaffney as Vice Chair, I think it is fair to say there is mostly equal power and voice.

            “yo dumbass, read what you write before you have diarrhea of the mouth;

“Now that Petty more than doubled that gap its a strong finish?””

That was referring to Publius’s claim that GAFFNEY had a strong finish. See that question mark at the end? That makes the sentence a question and not a statement. I think they have some night classes at Worcester Tech if you need a refresher on how to read.

“some actually weigh the platforms while others just check the (i) box.”

I’m loving today, have I mentioned that yet? Just because they didn’t vote the same way as you they didn’t think about who they voted for? Though I’m sure there were some that just voted the (i) just like some just voted any that didn’t have an (i), people can very much ponder deeply which candidate they would vote for and not select the same as you.

when you learn to properly cite your reference it’ll be easy to understand your message presuming there is one. In the meantime there are a number of night courses you might want to invest in but that presumes you have at least a GED.

So, lets see how much of a victory this was. In this very article, how did TBS say they did?
    “Turtleboy Ticket finished 1-2.”
Not sure how you came up with that. But judging by your past statistical analysis you don’t do numbers too well (must be that fine Worcester education). Lets take a look at the turtle-ticket:

    Mayor – M Gaffney

    City council –
    K Lukes
    R Sargent
    M Gaffney
    C Nguyen (district 1)
    J Kostas (district 4)

    School –
    B O’Connell
    D Colorio
    N D’andrea

So, you missed the mayor, 2 out of 5 council seats, and 2 out of 3 SC spots. That means out of the 9 positions you picked a winner in, you got 4. That’s sub .500. But no, you won alright.

Sorry TB, twas not a “huge” victory but at least Gaffney is the Vice Mayor. I wonder how many council meetings Petty will miss as a result? Huge would have been a Gaffney win but nonetheless, a good showing and some changes. As far as Petty’s comment on the naysayers and all the rhetoric; You are CEREMONIAL & have no “real: authority. 52 – 41% is a large margin if u want to bask on percentages but only 1100 votes more is not some type of clear mandate.

Can’t wait for the review of the mosaic audit results at the upcoming council meetings

Spin all you want, Gaffney lost. Petty’s mayoral win was decisive. I’d venture TBS cost Gaffney as many votes as it may have brought him, and that he’ll put more distance between himself and the whiny Turtle minority going forward.

When it was said, they used the TBS name and not the name of an individual writer (neither real name or made-up nickname). TBS as a whole said it, and TBS as a whole will pretend it never happened (much like they are pretending they didn’t just fail in the election).

          November 4, 2015 at 9:40 am

So if Petty had gone done to Gaffney, but the Council stayed the same, would it be considered victory or defeat?

Seems all that would be different is TB saying, “we got the mayor’s seat!” and opposition saying, “so what, you don’t have the Council.”

          • Haha
            November 4, 2015 at 9:52 am

That would have depended how the race finished. TB was mainly focused on the mayor race (as supported by the topics of his posts since the summer). That was the big one. Now, had he succeeded in getting a few more of his candidates into the city council this would be a different story. Out of the 5 people he picked for the council only 2 made it. How is that a victory? The 2 that were elected would have got in whether this blog existed or not. She failed. Plain and simple. The people of Worcester have spoken, and TBS is not their voice.

      • Haha
        November 4, 2015 at 2:16 pm

Someone on the Facebook post for this entry posted a screenshot of the promise. It said the blog would end, not that one writer would. So, TB, you going to follow through with your word or crawl back like a coward? Judging by your past, I’m sure it will be the latter.

So was I watching the same election you were. I just wonder because from what I saw it was a white washing. I’m happy Mike Gaffney got second place it was awesome. That still doesn’t make up for the fact he got his clock cleaned in the Mayors race. As for the rest of your ticket Cindy was a terrible candidate who got obliterated over in D1. In district 4 the polls closed at 8:00 and Jackie lost at 8:01. Donna was going to win regardless of your support. She had been too active not to win. The only candidate you did support was in a tight race race for last placeYou didn’t want king, but now all of a sudden he’s palatable. You beat your chest all week long. You really are the Rex Ryan of Worcester politics. You got a beat down. Just admit it and move on. But don’t try to justify it and say you won when in reality you’re ticket for squashed.

Petty and the corrupt gang brought in wacky Warren and gutless Markey, they had the McGovern machine and all the money and he lost …no surprise. Most importantly, Gaffney is vice on council. Whooda thought this 2 years ago?
Although there was obviously a higher turnout this time, 4,700 more people voted in this election than last-

Toomey got only about 170 more votes than last election

Petty only got about 600 more votes than last time

Gaffney got 3,000 more votes than last time

And Konnie got almost 1,500 more votes than last time

Bergman got about 440 more votes than last time.

Gaffney and Lukes benefitted most from the higher turnout or “new” voters…
The best….Novick is gone! Ramirez is gone! The two biggest Boone supporters and a superintendent search is beginning.
Colorio cam in SECOND out of the whole crew…even beating out a couple of corpses that have been on committee forever. It was great!

Disappointed Michael Gaffney didn’t get elected Mayor, but I am definitely looking forward to see how things go in the City Council this year. With Gaffney as Vice Chairman, I expect to see more accountability in where our tax dollars are going and less corruption in the City Council. And less influence and disruption of the City Council meetings by the diversity crowd and more influence by our regular Joe, Worcester citizens, in the things that really do matter to us in the city – like big tax increases, high crime and violence in our schools and neighborhoods. Good job Turtleboy and the voting citizens in Worcester…..I think we shook things up enough to make a difference!!! Looking forward to 2017 when Petty will be gone and hopefully Michael Gaffney will be our new Mayor 🙂

I’m going to start referring to TBS as the Colts of the blog world. The #1 goal of any football team is to win the Super Bowl, and yours was to get Gaffney in the mayor’s seat. And just like the Colts, you failed. Now, you are raising your AFC finalist banner and patting each other on the back. How about you accept that the turtle-nation is more of a hippie commune than a powerful force in the city and move on?

Bergman and Economou are the 2 best people on the Council. They aren’t politically driven and are among the few councillors that actually prepare for meetings. You NEVER hear them talk just to hear themselves talk. They use as few words as possible to convey their messages and save the public time when they want to see what is going on at the Council hearings.

They richly deserved to be re-elected. Do you remember when Bergman was the only councilor that found that mistake in the city budget’s tax assessment rate schedule? That’s doing your job.

    • A voter
      November 6, 2015 at 11:02 am

I’m getting really tired of hearing that economou is a good guy.

Aside from the fact that he teamed up with petty, called in McGovern, and combined resources during the last few weeks of election with petty and started paving some streets that he promised to do years after years–economou knew there was a chance he could lose.

      Turtleboy, do some research.
And for everyone else, ask a regular person living in district 1–economou hasn’t done anything.

What he has done was change zoning laws to benefit him and his friend. One example out of many, The old salter lake school is a historical Bulding–what did he do? sold it to his constractor friends and now they’re turning it into apartments. We asked for a meeting–and he held it on thanksgiving. This is bringing my property values down and causing some major traffic to the area.

Another example? He champions for public spaces…yet Economou allows a small group of people to hold the keys to Bancroft tower…but he refused to addressed the safety concerns there and when the public wants it to be open to the public…well because it’s a public place, he refused. Yet the group of Hammond heights who has individual keys to the tower hosted a private party (which when you check the DPW, they did not obtain permits for) every Halloween and Easter.

Look at the results, ward 2 where he barely won on, economou had allocated little resources and time to. Ward 1, where petty lives…what do you expect? Check ocpf–Nguyen spent under 6K, and still manage to win 40/60. It was a grassroots campaign verses a political machine–that is some amazing result.
