I came across this story today from Fox News about a blog post from the University of Florida.

‘The University of Florida is offering counseling to anyone who gets offended by any costumes worn this coming Halloween.’

Of course they are – because everything is a trigger and being perpetually offended is a way of life.

But wait there’s more:

“Some Halloween costumes reinforce stereotypes of particular races, genders, cultures, or religions. Regardless of intent, these costumes can perpetuate negative stereotypes, causing harm and offense to groups of people. Also, keep in mind that social media posts can have a long-term impact on your personal and professional reputation.”

You know what else can have a long-term impact on your reputation? The fact that you’re a big baby who finds something to be outraged about at every turn. Who the hell would want one these precious little snowflakes working for them? They would spend more time in HR filing complaints than working. And every other employee would constantly be in some kind of sensitivity training.

Can you imagine having to pull everyone away from their jobs for a couple of hours because Ashley saw a Santa Clause on Marge’s desk.

The story continues:

“The school reminded students that anyone who is offended or troubled by an incident or a costume, they could seek counseling at the wellness center or alert the school’s Bias Education Response Team which provides support to those who were impacted.”

A Bias Education Response Team!? That is priceless – what exactly will this Team do when they respond to an incident?

“…the Bias Education and Response Team at the University of Florida is able to respond to any reported incidents of bias, to educate those that were involved, and to provide support by connecting those that were impacted to the appropriate services and resources.”

So I’m having a great time at a party wearing my cop costume and some sensitive little soul is triggered by it and I end up being lectured by some douche who was probably the same kid put in charge when the teacher left the room.

So when that sensitive little soul is walking back to her dorm room because the party is ruined, what should she do if she’s still troubled by the ‘incident’?

“If you are troubled by an incident that does occur, please know that there are many resources available. Please take advantage of the 7 day a week presence of the U Matter, We Care program at the University of Florida by emailing umatter@ufl.edu. Additionally, there is a 24/7 counselor in the Counseling and Wellness Center available to speak by phone.”

I don’t even know what to say here…U matter, We Care program – that is the most precious of preciousness. They have trained staff available 24/7 to tell someone that they matter. Because their self-worth took a hit by being exposed to bias. How is that even possible? Weren’t all these kids raised by parents who made them the center of the world? Of course they were, and it’s those parents that are in charge and devoting resources to make sure everyone feels emotionally safe.

I guess being a friend to your kids and including them in every decision from where daddy should work to what color to paint the living room doesn’t make them strong adults. Go figure.

Let’s hope that there are enough real parents raising non-snowflakes out there to balance out this craziness or we’re all screwed.

Where do I get some free counseling? I was in the store the other day and I saw a Halloween decoration. I am afraid I might get an anxiety attack.

Then you wonder why college is so expensive when you have to hire people to investigate costumes, not to mention diversity officers. When someone says we need more diversity, what they are really saying is that there are too many white people.

    “Your costume offended someone!”

“Yeah, so? Tell them to grow the fuck up. Offense is subjective; just because they’re butthurt doesn’t mean anyone else is.”

How the hell does someone “get triggered” and need professional help over a HALLOWEEN COSTUME???? The only person that would ever get a pass for this would be Bindi Irwin with the Steve Irwin sting ray costume. Everyone else can f*ck off with their “hurt feelings” that they need professional help for. Beyond absurd.

The We Care Team? The Bias Response and Education Team? The 24/7 Counseling Team. HEY!!! You gotta give these SJW’s their due. They have created more jobs than Henry Ford. To bad most of these jobs have gone to women with hyphenated names who belong to a “Protected Class”

When i was in college the only time counselors were available 24 / 7, means someone was dead. These little pukes are such a disgrace.

The parents deserve a large portion of the blame here. For the most part, these little ass wipes didn’t get like this on thier own. They were coddled and conditioned by the “everyone gets a trophy” generation. What a bunch of sorry ass pussies.
