If you like free speech and want to support what we’re doing, feel free to donate to the Turtle fund:
Hey fam – if you’d like to support Turtleboy and what we do here, feel free to hit the donate button at the top. We basically have to run this site like a Bernie Sanders campaign now since we’ve been blacklisted by Google and Facebook, due to the fact that rabid SJWs keep reporting our posts. Getting blacklisted by Google is a death sentence for most websites, since it’s much harder to monetize. And we all know the damage Facebook has done. We’re never going to stop fighting for free speech, but in the meantime the best way for turtle riders to fight back is to donate to the cause. Without you people none of this is possible. We love you all.
If you’ve turned on the news at all today you might’ve seen that Lawrence, Andover, and North Andover are completely on fire. Houses are literally blowing up without warning because of gas leaks. Some of the houses are burning down without firefighters getting their in time because so many homes are on fire. As far as I know there has been one reported fatality, but I can’t imagine it will stay that low, considering it happened at a time when lots of people would be home and it caught people off guard. Power has been shut off in all three towns/cities, and citizens have been urged to evacuate. The combined population of all three is 150,000, which means there’s gonna be refugees. It’s a state of emergency, and one of those times that people really need to come together to help their fellow man.

Here’s what the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester decided to do to lend a helping hand….
Oh good, exploitation. Definitely a smart business move right there. This would be like Jordan’s offering people who just lost their homes new couches for $4,000. Went over like a job application at the the methadone clinic….
They have since issued this “apology”:
Bullshit. They’re passing this off on a “well meaning employee.” As if they just hand over control of their social media pages to the intern in the mail room. This is like blaming it on Desk Girl. Additionally the explanation makes no sense. They talked about the rates being waved, and then the guy in charge of social media posted that they were charging this amount instead of waving it? Yea, that’s what happened. Sure thing.
And “deemed offensive.” As if it wasn’t clear as day that this was perhaps the poorest of poor taste moves of all time. They didn’t realize it was offensive until after they got their Facebook page blown up.
Just admit it – you saw a disaster and wanted to profit off of it. You’re like the Red Cross with continental breakfast. Keep in mind, most people who lost their homes are from Lawrence. They aren’t rich. And the tone deafness it takes to assume these people are gonna drive 30 miles to Gloucester to stay in a $225 hotel room is off the charts.
I’d say that they should fire their social media guy, but let’s be honest – the same person who posted the $225 post is the same person who wrote the apology blaming the guy in the mail room.
