Some gutterslug is being held without bail after he threatened to shoot some teachers at Southbridge High School and put a bunch pictures of himself holding a gun on Snap Chat. Bryan Reyes, who of course is 19 years old and still in high school, was arraigned on Wednesday in Dudley District Court on charges of disturbing school, a civil rights violation, making a bomb or hijacking threat, annoying or accosting a person of the opposite sex, threatening to commit murder, and two counts of threatening to commit assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

No word of what grade he’s in. But since he’s 19 years old and he lives in Southbridge, he’s more than likely on his second round of sophomore year.
It all began when Numbnuts McGee decided it would be wise to walk down the hallway shouting racist rap lyrics, and when teachers told him to cut the shit, he started hurling insults at a handicapped teacher. Then he progressed to the next phase of Southbridge ratchetry and told the teacher if he had a gun he’d shoot them all. Good thing the taxpayers are still paying for this grown adult to roam the halls of the high school. Seems like a great investment for the future.
But he was just getting warmed up.
For some reason he only got a three day suspension. And when he got home this future prison librarian started posing for more videos of himself holding “AR-15 style rifle type weapons.” In that video he mocked one teacher for their Jewish faith and told her she was lucky he wasn’t Hitler. He continued on to make sexual and racial insults about students and teachers.
But wait, he wasn’t done.
On Tuesday the GED caboose came back to the school and started calling the school resource officer and principal a pig. His excuse for being there? Getting homework. Yea, I swear to God. Homework. Like this 19 year old mental midget has ever done homework his entire life.
Later on that day he confronted and threatened another student who he believed was snitching on him and made fun of the student’s sexuality. After this the cops finally decided to arrest him, but when they got to his home wasn’t there. They traced his cell phone and guess where he was?
Holyoke!!! Because, where else would a Southbridge ratchet on the run go to except for Holyoke? But as it turns out he wasn’t in Holyoke and they eventually found him in Palmer. Presumably so he could get a lap dance from our girl Princeza Aponte.
Anyway, this kid is the perfect example of everything that is wrong with public schools today. Politicians get elected when they run on a platform of “improving schools.” And how do you improve schools? Improve the dropout rate. And how do you improve the dropout rate? Keep around 19 year old assholes because you think they’re about to turn their life around and finally see the light. Plus, it looks good on a chart.
Good thing Southbridge Superintendent Jessica Huizenga alerted parents about this. Oh wait……
Oops!! Forgot to mention the kid who is threatening to kill all the teachers!! State appointed “receiver” Jessica Huizenga was probably too busy writing letters to students about how they could resist Donald Trump:
Don’t worry parents, you’ll be hearing from her in a couple months about how brilliantly her school reorganization plan is affecting MCAS scores. She’ll pat herself on the back and Governor Baker will give her a raise for “fixing” your schools. Then they’ll leave and the next batch of 19 year old sophomores will be ready to take over the hallways and start the cycle all over again!!

I am a dedicated Southbridge teaxher who has formes positive relationships with bith this young man’s family and the teacher’s involved. I truly believe that in order to teach respect, we must model it. My students read your blog and when you call people names, it encourages my students do the same. They are not perfect, but they are not “ratchet” or “mental midgets”. I do not tolerate that language in my classroom, and i challenge my students to argue their points with fairness, logic, respect and appropriately sophisticated vocabularly. Most of them rise to the challenge. If you want a world where students do not hurl insults, be the change. Yes, thats an allusion to Ghandi and that doesnt make me a political extremist…just someone who thinks kids need good role models. I love my students and I alo hold them to high standards of speech and behavior. Its possible to be both tough and compassionate.

Yeah, I’m sure after reading TB’s blogs – which have only been around for 3 years or so – these good students suddenly developed their “bad habits”.
Good for you that you try to be a positive role model for your students – but your “profession” is as responsible for the decline of our youth as are their parents. Stop being a rationalizing lemming and start demanding accountability from everyone, especially your fellow teachers and administrators.
Typical administrators, looking the other way and don’t want to get involved. It’s like a disease in government, especially the state. On a much higher note, happy the world famous and gorgeous Princeza was give her due too.

Perhaps it’s time for Turtleboy to unveil the acting superintendents recent attempt at getting to the root of the scum. Word has it that she dolled herself up recently and appeared at the high school as a student to see how this Reyes kid really acted at school.Dont know what she reported or if she even made a report or just played out a fantasy. It might be worth checking into. Again, sane sources say this kid’s stupidity may have been deliberately used against him!

In Uxbridge they make sure they get rid of all drug dealers crack freaks and stoners by their 18 birthday so that they can keep up their image . About 1/3 of each class goes.
The bottom line, the Country does not want to address issues in Public Schools. Here’s what this Country needs to have a problematic School placed in Districts or Counties throughout the State. Stop catering and believing that problematic kids are going to miraculously change. The placement into this alternative school would be based on documented disciplinary history and a hearing before placement. You want to clean up schools like Southbridge, stop cuddling and enforce real discipline. An incident like this one should be a zero tolerance policy.

I would say one year military service should be standard for everyone when they turn 18 but then again the military has standards like being able to read and write so these dirt bags would be rejected.
