Hello Turtle Riders. As you know if you follow Turtleboy we are constantly getting by Facebook for what are clearly not violations of their terms of service. Twitter has done the same, and trolls mass reported our blog to Google AdSense thousands of times, leading to demonitization. We can get by and survive, but we could really use your help. Please consider donating by hitting the PayPal button above if you’d like support free speech and what we do in the face of Silicon Valley censorship. Or just buy our award winning book about the dangers of censorship and rise of Turtleboy:
A year ago today this happened.
Right after we exposed this thing for running a reparations GoFundMe scam for a free car, while going on exotic vacations around the world, paid for by white guilt.
We appealed their decision and the next day received a message from Facebook alerting us that we did NOT violate Facebook’s community standards, but because some might consider it “insensitive” the page was not restored.
We don’t need to relive what happened after she sent her mob of woke white women to mass report us, because we’ve written about it a billion times before. All you need to know is that no one at Facebook actually reviews anything you report to them, so if you have enough free time on your hands you can take down any page you want. We should know, we’ve had 32 pages taken down in the last calendar year. If you’re interested we put down a bunch of examples at the bottom of this blog.
But we’re not here to whine about this, we are here to celebrate. After the page was taken down everyone thought we were dead. How could we ever survive without Facebook? Many seemed to be under the impression that we were a Facebook page, not an independent blog that used Facebook to share our content and reach new audiences.
Last year over 73% of our daily readers came to the site after clicking on a blog they saw on Facebook or Twitter, while 13% of turtle riders went directly to Turtleboysports.com.
Since then we’ve developed an app that tens of thousands of you have downloaded. We’ve created an email list that thousands of you have signed up for. We’ve started a podcast that thousands of you have downloaded. I published a book that over a thousand of you have already ordered for Christmas. And although we still use Facebook, and some turtle riders share our content on Twitter, we are no longer reliant on these tech companies, as turtle riders have adapted and evolved. In 2018 just 32% of our daily readers came from Facebook or Twitter, while over 33% come directly to our page now.
The moral of the story here is that Turtleboy will never be silenced, no matter how hard they try to stop us. They can take down our Facebook pages all they want, but we’ll just keep doing what we do every day – publishing blogs on our website. And turtle riders will find us, because they know we are the ONLY source of real news in New England. The haters thought that they won:
They thought threats and intimidation would stop us.
They thought opening up Craig’s List accounts for free kayaks would deter us.
They sent washed up rappers after us.
They organized boycotts of our advertisers.
But we’re still here. Because some may be willing to relinquish their right to free speech, but we won’t. We will always keep fighting for you, because you deserve to read the truth.
