ABC 6: Warwick police announced the arrest of the driver involved in a hit-and-run on Airport Road in December. Skyla Gilroy, 20, of Cranston was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Surprise, Arizona on February 12. Gilroy was turned over to Warwick Police by the RI Division of Sheriffs on February 26. The fatal accident happened on December 22, 2020. Donald Boss was struck and killed while walking in front of the Speedway Gas station on Airport Road around 4 a.m. Warwick police said Boss died from his injuries after he was dragged by the 2008 Nissan Rogue. Police said Gilroy immediately fled the scene and left Boss in the road. Gilroy has been charged with duty to stop in accident – resulting in death. She was arraigned in Kent County District Court on Monday. Warwick police said Gilroy is out on $75,000 bail and is scheduled to be seen in court on May 24.

Some have suggested that she should not have received bail, since she was found in Arizona and is a flight risk. Others have suggested that she got bail due to her white privilege.

Yea, only white people get $75K bail for hit and run fatalities. Except for this black guy who got $75K for doing the same to a 16 year old, this black woman released on $50K bail for killing an 85 year old woman in a crosswalk, and this black woman released on $100K bail after a fatal hit and run with a motorcyclist. Besides them it’s just white people.

Oh wait, turns out this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with something BLM has been advocating for – “criminal justice reform.” BLM has long wanted to completely eliminate bail because you’re innocent until proven guilty. It’s why the Vice President raised money for a bail fund for rioters. Turns out white people get arrested a lot more often than black people do, and when you reduce penalties and bail for everyone it actually helps more white criminals get out of jail than it does black criminals. Another well thought out idea by Coca Cola’s favorite domestic terrorist group.

Of course if we had a criminal justice that actually kept dangerous criminals behind bars then Skyla would’ve been locked up a long time ago and the deceased would still be alive. A search for her name on the Rhode Island Judicial Portal shows Google trophies for domestic violence in East Providence, A&B and disorderly conduct in Warwick, domestic violence in Cranston, obstructing a police officer in Cranston, violation of a no contact order, shoplifting in Warwick, and a whole bunch of traffic violations ranging from driving without a license, to driving while on the phone, to driving an uninsured vehicle.

It’s almost as if this woman was making it clear to the judicial system that she has zero fucks to give and would eventually kill someone if they listened to her court appointed attorneys and kept letting her off for committing serious crimes. But yea, tell me more how we need “criminal justice reform” because not enough dangerous ratchets are wandering the streets.
