Do you think this GAP commercial is racist?
No? Well then you’re probably a big racist. I swear to God, not even kidding. This is racist. When I first saw this headline I looked at and thought, “Where’s the racist part?”
I see one black girl in there. So obviously it has something to do with her, right? My first guess was there were too many white girls. Not enough diversity. Second guess was that they’re portraying black people as lazy because the girl is just standing there doing nothing while the white girls are doing funky stretching and ballet. But I was wrong. The REAL reason it’s racist is because the white girl in the middle is resting her elbow on the black girl. Not even kidding:
Can’t make this stuff up people. You just can’t. There are people in this world who literally go around looking for racism EVERYWHERE. Even in a harmless GAP commercial like this. The girls are part of some sort of Le Petit Cirque, and this ad is part of Ellen’s campaign about “empowering” girls.
So even though it was basically created as part of an agenda to uplift a segment of society that some believe is oppressed, the PC police still found a way to take offense to it.
Here’s some more hot takes from the Facebook machine:
If you need to type this much to prove that this ad is racist, then you’re overreaching.
So all people of color would find offense to this? That’s what she’s saying? Newsflash – there is nothing “risky” about this photograph unless you make it risky. It’s a harmless picture of nice children wearing GAP clothing.
Oh, and if you haven’t watched the video commercial with Ellen, then watch it. Because she interviews the girls and the black girl doesn’t talk, which makes it even more racist:
Yea, that’s it. It’s a huge conspiracy to silence the little black girl. Hey here’s a thought – maybe she didn’t speak because she’s shy. Ya know, because lots of little kids tend to be shy. Nah, that can’t be it. Must be racism.
But wait, it gets better – the white girl and the black girl are sisters:
@TheRoot girl with arm resting on her shoulder is her sister She didn't talk in video because she was 2 shy. everyone needs to calm down.

Find me any person in America who never treated their kid brother or sister like a little bitch. It’s part of growing up. Her big sister, who obviously loves her little sister, uses her obvious size advantage to treat her kid sister like an armrest. Ya know, like every single kid with an older sibling has ever had to deal with since the beginning of time. I guess being taller than your sister is racist now.
Oh yea, and then there’s last year’s GAP ad for this same promotion:
Oops!!! But of course we have learned from brilliant thinkers like Nathan Pickens, that only white people are capable of racism. Therefore this ad is NOT racist, but the first one is. Also, white people were never used as armrests, but black people were, therefore this is racist:
LOL. This is real life.
The woman who made the original tweet seems like a rational person who we should all take seriously too:
This also proves how privileged people of ALL COLORS are to live in the United States of America. You know your ass is privileged when THIS is the biggest issue you are having in your life. GAP commercials. Ya know what people of all colors are dealing with in other countries? Famines, government persecution, 45 year old life expectancies, civil war, and RPG’s coming through your windows. Meanwhile in America these “oppressed” individuals are dealing with a freaking GAP commercial.
Even if black girls were used as armrests during slavery, so what? What the hell does that have to do with this ad? Does anyone honestly believe that a GAP executive was like, “I know a way to stick it black people – let’s make a vague illusion to something that may or may not have happened to some slaves 160 years ago.”
Here’s an issue the PC police are conveniently ignoring – the clothes are manufactured in a sweatshop by an 8 year old Chinese girl. None of these SJW’s seems to care about that though, because I guess they think Asian people don’t matter.
According to TheRoot.com, this article wouldn’t be a problem if the roles were reversed:
While all of the girls are adorable, and indeed, all of them should grow up to be and do anything, it becomes problematic when the black child is positioned to be a white child’s prop.
Sure, the black girls is clearly happy being in this commercial with her sister, and their mother has no problem with it either. But a PC asshole who writes for a racist publication owned by professional race baiter Henry Louis Gates, said that it’s problematic. So now GAP has to take it down:
“As a brand with a proud 46-year history of championing diversity and inclusivity, we appreciate the conversation that has taken place and are sorry to anyone we’ve offended,” a Gap spokeswoman said in a statement.
And that the worst part about this really – GAP has joined the long line of gutless corporations that has given into the politically correct terrorists. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – this is why Donald Trump is popular. Because we’ve been dealing with nonsense like this for so long now, and it just keeps getting more and more ridiculous. People have reached their breaking point. It’s not that most of us think that Trump is gonna be some great President. It’s that we wanna do whatever we can to give a big “fuck you” to the people who have created this environment, where a commercial like this is taken down because some people say it’s racist. And nothing would piss these people off more than a Trump presidency.
