I’m sure this will be covered by CNN ad nauseum, but I just wanted to chime in real quick on the latest controversy surround our President – this now deleted tweet:
Breaking news – Kansas City is actually in Missouri. This tweet is making people go insane because Orange man dumb.
I’m not even kidding when I say that the mainstream media has made this their big story of the day.
“Congratulations to the Kansas City Chiefs on a great game, and a fantastic comeback, under immense pressure. You represented the Great State of Kansas,” President Trump tweeted.
The Kansas City Chiefs play in Missouri. https://t.co/unIqUxttSU

After the Kansas City Chiefs won their first Super Bowl in 50 years, President Trump tweeted congratulating the team's fans and the state of Kansas.
But the team is based in Missouri — a common source of confusion, but one that residents take seriously. https://t.co/YUNWHy09sg

And no, it wouldn’t surprise me if he thought Kansas City was in Kansas, because Kansas City is a city in both Missouri and Kansas. They just happen to play in the bigger city in Missouri. Kansas City, KS is the forgotten Kansas City, and has a population the size of Springfield, MA.
The most popular team in Kansas, and the one covered by the media in Wichita and Topeka, is the Chiefs. Here’s some maps of the most popular NFL teams by state.
As a matter of fact, the most popular team in ANY sport in Kansas, is the Chiefs. Whereas Missouri’s most popular is the St. Louis Cardinals.
This is like Trump congratulating the people of New Hampshire on the Patriots winning the Super Bowl, or the people of New York on the Giants winning the Super Bowl, since the Giants play in New Jersey and the Patriots play in Massachusetts.
Worst. Controversy. Ever.
