Remember this nut wallop?
His name is Derek Pereira, and we blogged about him less than two months ago because he’s suing the Westport Police after he led them on a high speed chase and ended up crashing into a police car blockading the road with their blue lights on:
Yea, he wants $100,000 from the cops because it’s their fault he wouldn’t stop for them, and the flashing blue lights were apparently too hard for him to see on the lighted highway.
“I should not have been speeding. But blocking the road at night with an SUV is dangerous. I’m lucky to be alive,” Pereira said in a statement.
Good point. Blocking the road at night is dangerous. But driving 120 mph on a motorcycle while the police are trying to pull you over is perfectly safe.
Anyway, this moley faced maggot ended up getting arrested again, and now he says he’s being targeted by the cops:
A man who is suing a Westport Police officer for injuries suffered during a road block as he attempted to flee police is once again in trouble. Friday night around 7:20 p.m., Westport Police attempted to stop 31-year-old Derek Pereira of 21 Cleveland Street in Westport. Pereira was known to police from an August 22, 2016 incident where he was on a motorcycle and struck a police cruiser.
On July 7th, police observed Pereira driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, which he abandoned a short distance away after he fled from a detective in an unmarked police vehicle. Pereira was seen running from this SUV across State Road onto Pine Tree Avenue, when a neighbor called police to say he had ran into the woods.
Police believed he was headed to his residence through the wooded area. Police spoke with a neighbor who lived near his residence who recognized him and spoke with as he exited the woods. A Bristol County Sheriff’s Department K9 was called to the scene and searched the area for approximately two hours. The SUV he ran from had stolen registration plates. Police obtained a search warrant for the Jeep Cherokee and located a bill of sale which listed Pereira as the buyer along with personal items belonging to him. Investigators also located surveillance video of Pereira as he exited a convenience store and entered the SUV prior to evading police, along with additional video as he abandoned the SUV and fled on foot across State Road. The registration plates affixed to the Jeep Cherokee had been stolen a few weeks earlier from another Jeep which had been parked at State Road Auto, located at 851 State Road.
Police encountered Pereira in his driveway on Sunday at approximately 2:15 p.m. He was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked driver’s license, operating a motor vehicle so as to endanger, failure to stop for police, operating an uninsured vehicle, attaching plates, unregistered vehicle, speeding, possession of stolen property motor vehicle registration plates (felony, subsequent offense), possession of a forged / altered RMV inspection sticker, possession of stolen property (subsequent offense) registry document (inspection sticker), and use of a motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
So let me get this straight. Moley McGee can’t drive his car since the car probably isn’t registered. So he steals someone else’s license plates, drives like an asshole, attracts the attention of the police in a small town where everyone knows your name, once again evades the police, and runs home to Mommy. And somehow this is also the fault of the police according to an interview he gave NBC 10:
“I definitely feel like there’s a target on my back,” Pereira told NBC 10 News during an interview outside his home on Tuesday.
Hey, here’s an idea – maybe you’ll stop attracting the attention of the police if you stop breaking the law. I know, I know, it’s crazy. But it just might work.
Anyway, I’m sure this is really gonna help his case a lot. The sad part is that there are actually lawyers out there whose entire livelihood depends on going to bag for professional shitbags like this. His attorney’s name is Howard Friedman. And a look at their firm’s Facebook page tells you everything you need to know about them. They routinely go after local police departments, knowing that it’s cheaper for municipalities to settle out of court than it is to litigate:
They believe that police are responsible for killing black people because they pull them over for traffic violations:
They really don’t like cops, particularly white male cops:
Oh, and they also don’t like veterans who become cops either:
I understand everyone has to make a living. But I have more respect for junkie panhandlers than I do sheistbag lawyers who represent people like Derek Pereira while shitting on cops and veterans. Just sayin.
And if you haven’t figured what they’re all about by now, here’s their reaction to the election of President Trump:
And here’s their staff:
Nuff said. This is what the “resistance” looks like. Shitbag lawyers suing the cops because their idiotic client can’t stop breaking the law.
