I normally don’t read the comments because I believe that turtle riders should have their say there and we should stay out. But I wanted to see what people thought about the blog I did last week showing the entire conversation I had with Jamie Genereux, the owner of PetTrackers who is suing me and 10 other women because we criticized his problematic business history. I was ripped apart pretty good, and in my opinion the criticisms are valid for the most part, so I wanted to address some of them:

I’m put off that Uncle is talking like a bitch. Fuck this pet tracker guy. I get it that it’ll cost money to defend. But TBS is hitting us up to back his brand and cover legal. I have bought shirts, the book, and donated money. I didn’t do all that to see him act like a bitch. Stand back and find confidence in your platform man. The blog was opinion, your follow up was accurate, you will 99% most likely prevail in court. You have a CDA 230 protection. All that boasting to never losing in court and now act like a bitch? Willing to give up a former blogger? Turn over IP addresses? (AND ONCE AGAIN, if anyone thinks people can be identified though IP without extensive monitoring and legal subpoena, they’re a fucking fool. Turtleboy should know this guy is bluffing when dipshit Jamie asks for IPs) If you stop accepting that your brand will bring legal challenges, and all those donations are nothing but yours, best close shop. Like anything else, someone with real balls will come along and fight to protect free speech.

I went into the conversation I had with Jamie last week naively believing that this man could be reasoned with. I figured he was just an oversensitive child who believed his business should be immune from public criticism, and that by taking down a blog that no one reads anyway I could save us all a lot of time and money.

But as you can see, he didn’t take this extremely generous offer I made to him. For that reason the blog is back up. Jamie Genereux saw the diplomatic, polite side of me that I had to show when I was teaching. I kept a lot of my feelings to myself during our conversation because I assumed he’d realize I was giving him what he wanted and he’d agree to end this nonsense.

I was wrong.

Jamie Genereux is not thinking straight. He’s blinded by hatred for these MDM volunteers. He assumes I conspired with them to write the blog, and he believes that they damaged him, not his long and documented history of shitty business practices.

Now Jamie is going to find out the hard way what Turtleboy is REALLY like. If he insists on pursuing this then we are going to dig and dig and dig and find every single person who has ever been wronged by him. We are going to publish their stories because we believe women. We believe survivors of Jamie Genereux’s bullying tactics. It should be noted that there are no shortage of people online who have posted negative comments about the work he does, but 10 of the 11 people he is currently suing are women. 

This idiot had the chance of walking away and not having his name plastered all over the Internet for eternity. He chose not to take it. Now he’s gonna turn into Mike Gaffney and Rian Waters. I am going to continue to use my constitutionally protected free speech rights to urge everyone who knows how to Google to avoid him like the plague. This isn’t me being malicious, I genuinely believe you’d have to be stupid to hire him. In my opinion he’s unprofessional and very dumb. I don’t like giving my hard earned money to dumb people who have sued clients after lying to them about their dogs being dead. We know of at least 2 women he did this to. And yes, every once in a while he finds a dog and poses for a photo op. But guess what? So does MDM, and they do it for free.

It didn’t have to be this way Jamie. No one actually read Manch’s 9 month old blog. It didn’t come up when you searched for your name on Google. You chose this way rather than accepting my generous offer to remove all mention of you from our website.

Here’s another complaint:

Turtlechud is giving up our IP’s despite arguing free speech. Gross.

Obviously not a real email address. And I have no idea what that number is, but it’s not an IP address. When you click on it it brings you to every comment recently made by the person at that address though:

And even if that was an IP address, those only get you within a 10 mile radius or so. Dumbasses like Jamie are too stupid to know that though, so there would be no harm giving that to him if it would make this pest go away.

Plus, I’m sorry, but if you’re an anonymous shitposter in the comments and you’re too stupid to use a VPN, then Darwin was gonna get you eventually. I have no sympathy for the anonymous shitposters either. People who come on the site and write anti-semitic or racist nonsense, or things about dog trackers having sex with dogs, are not adding anything of value to the website. They’re not participating in discourse, they’re just being incendiary for the sole purpose of being incendiary. Let me be perfectly clear – if you’re doing this, I would give you up in a heartbeat. I would feed you on a platter to Jamie’s attorney in order to save myself. People like you damage our brand and our image, and if you died in a fire tomorrow the world would be a better place without you.

So if you have a problem with me giving up commenters’ information, you can blow me.

Here’s another complaint:

Pretty scumbag move throwing Manch under the bus.

I get where you’re coming from, but this is her mess to clean up. I wouldn’t do this to any other blogger but her, because she fucked this company over. Like an idiot she allegedly promised this guy, “I’m going to clear you of any deception or shady activity here,” and “Thank you for setting things straight for me, I’ll be discussing the whole story of your limited involvement, clearing up your name and continuing with the series.”

Granted, she was under no obligation to write something positive about him, even though he thinks she is obligated to do so because he’s a dumbass. But the mere fact that she was so desperate for the approval of everyone she came in contact with, and dumb enough to tell this guy that while I was on vacation and then not inform me about it, means I have no problem “throwing Manch under the bus.” She’s a grownup who created this mess, and now it’s her job to clean it up. She also has not reached out to me about this, even though she’s well aware of the lawsuit. That’s her throwing ME under the bus. When you burn me, I burn you back.

On top of that, the final straw in deciding to get rid of her happened when I saw her badmouthing a turtle rider who has been with us for a long time, and has supported us financially by buying things in the Turtleboy store. Manch decided to become friends with this turtle rider in real life, they hung out, then things got weird (Manch got weird, not the turtle rider), the turtle rider cut off ties, and Manch started badmouthing her on Facebook. Next thing you know I was defriended by the turtle rider because she feared I was going to come after her. And THAT was something I could not accept. I was FURIOUS that this long time supportive fan felt scared of a blog she had been with for years. I contacted her, found out the whole story, and immediately cut ties with Manch. It really wasn’t a big loss since she hadn’t blogged in over 3 weeks and constantly had bullshit excuses as to why that was.

I just love this. You’re basically admitting you don’t check anything that’s not posted by you because you run on “good faith” but you want the same protections as a media platform.

Yes, that’s how platforms work. Mark Zuckerberg does not manually approve every post we make. He does reserve the right to take down posts he doesn’t want on his platform though, which I’ve learned the hard way. I do the same thing with Turtleboy.

How is your solution to this to write more blogs highlighting everything he’s saying is slandering his business then “reach out” and kiss his ass every step of the way.

As I stated above, this was diplomacy. It was me attempting to extend an olive branch to a guy who ultimately doesn’t matter, but who could be a pain in my ass. He didn’t accept it so the ass kissing is over.

It’s like you wanted to have some sort of even playing field when asking him to drop the case. It brings me so much joy to hear you cry in every post about being sued. Former Teacher turned “blogger” internet troll cries after being sued for publishing and profiting off unverified slander. So you’re not only desperate to get Manch sued for this, you’re writing blogs in defense of the 10 other defendants while also offering to use your position to write positive stuff for him. This is priceless.

Except it’s not slander. Dumbass. And I wasn’t going to “write something positive about him,” I was going to write the truth. If he had something significant to add to the story I would’ve added it. But he refused to tell me what that was and constantly deflected, leading me to believe that there was nothing else to add.

The real question is, how is this terrible businessman, who gets paid by desperate people to walk through the woods with his dogs looking for other dogs, able to afford such a high priced attorney that would write a 156 page complaint suing 11 people? Let’s say he makes $1,000 per client. How many missing dogs could he possibly track in a year? It makes no sense that he’d be able to afford this lawsuit. This might be why:

His girlfriend, Attorney Sharon Schwabel. Because someone has to wear the pants in Jamie’s house, and it sure as shit isn’t gonna be him. She’s licensed in Rhode Island, but the lawsuit is in Massachusetts and it’s an attorney with an office in Boston. Who knows how this happened, but I find it impossible to believe his allegedly struggling business could possibly be able to afford this.

I kind of feel bad for her. Imagine you were so desperate for love that you settled for this douchebag?

Ouch.

Anyway, the offer remains on the table for Jamie Genereux. I want nothing to do with him or his stupid company. I’ve made my point already and I’m prepared to move on if he’s prepared to drop this. He messaged me on Friday telling me to contact his attorney about an offer. We are waiting to hear what that offer is, but we will not be paying them a penny. However, we are are a platform that has been used to investigate people far more powerful than him. If he insists on suing us then we will continue to investigate his company and publish blogs about our findings on the platform. If he drops it then we will take down any blogs about him and move on with our lives. Ultimately Jamie will not get a penny from us, so it’s in his best interest to just drop it.
