Which mainstream media outlet will read this first, pretend they didn’t, “break the news” and then not cite the turtle?

Big news out of Spencer last night:

The first thing I thought when I heard the news was, “I hope he’s white.” What does that tell you about the state of society today? Where you hope that it’s just another white guy who got shot this time so there won’t be any protests. Because obviously no one is gonna stand up for, or march in honor of a white guy who pulled out a pellet gun on a cop.

Anyway, the incident took place at 160 Northwest Rd in Spencer. According to the records, this land is owned by Kim Casey. Here’s her Facebook page. It’s filled with condolences:

Don’t let the golf gear fool you though. The guy has been a professional asshole for quite some time now, and it was only a matter of time until something like this happened. He deserves zero sympathy, and earned his death by police. In 2014 while living in Myrtle Beach he was involved in an armed standoff with the cops after one of several domestic incidents he was involved in:

Bond has been denied for a man charged in connection with a nearly 16-hour standoff in the Forestbrook community. Walter Harold Lynde, 46, has been charged with resisting arrest with a deadly weapon; arson, third degree; and criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records. Public records show no prior convictions, but Lynde was listed in a Myrtle Beach police report as a suspect in a prior domestic dispute in August. According to Horry County police, the Myrtle Beach police wanted the suspect in connection with the August incident. According to a police spokesman, the suspect “became increasingly agitated and hostile, showing officers on the perimeter his weapons.”

The Myrtle Beach link stems from an incident that occurred Aug. 8, 2013 at Margaritaville at Broadway at the Beach, a police report states. According to the report, a female victim, 28, said her boyfriend and suspect, 45, showed up at her place of work and they began to have an argument. During the argument, the suspect took her purse and then grabbed her wrists, trying to pull her, the report said. Police made contact with the suspect by telephone and the report said he was aggressive and argumentative in several phone conversations. During a third telephone call, the suspect told an officer that if police came to his house, “he would shoot at them,” the report said. The standoff event began shortly after midnight Monday and the event impacted many travelers in the area including school buses.

Yup, that’s him.

The world is a better place without Walter Lynde. It sucks that a human being had to turn out like this. I feel sympathy for his family because I’m sure that the guy has some screws loose and they still love him regardless. But facts are facts. And this guy is a habitual woman beating, gun toting, psychopath who likes to pull guns on cops. It was only a matter of time until he was expired.

There’s no links we can find about what ended up happening to him after the armed standoff in Myrtle Beach or why he’s not in jail. And it’s pretty pathetic that you can do something like that three years ago and be a free man shortly thereafter. Especially in a state like South Carolina, which I always assumed was a place where they put you in the electric chair if you queefed in public.

But logically if you’re a professional asshole who likes to beat women and get in armed confrontations with the police, the first thing you’re gonna wanna do when shit hits the fan is move to Spencer, Massachusetts. No clue how he met Kim Casey, or if they’re a couple, or if she’s the one involved in the domestic situation. But she’s better off without him too.

Pretty much everyone agrees with this too. Except of course for Turtlegram and Gazette columnist, Carlo “Old Balls” Baldino, who believes that cops should not shoot people who appear to be pointing guns at them:
