Source: Two high-ranking members state police officials have left the department, Boston 25 News learned Friday. State Police officials confirm that as of Feb. 23, Lt. Col. Daniel Risteen and Maj. Susan Anderson have retired. State Police would not go into detail about the two retirements, but they come just a short time after other shakeups within the department.
This is the blog that did it people. This blog right here has now forced four of the highest ranking members of the Massachusetts State Police to resign in disgrace. This is what we do at Turtleboy Sports. We take out the trash.
We exposed Major Anderson for her role in the Biblow scandal.
Then we exposed Lt. Colonel Dan Risteen’s involvement in the coverup of the Tim Murray car crash when he was Lt. Governor.
In doing so we revealed that he had been dating a subordinate trooper named Leigha Genduso since 2010, and likely used his influence to get her into the academy.
Then we found out that Leigha Genduso was an admitted pot dealer and money launderer. Something that OBVIOUSLY Risteen had knowledge of, which likely came up during pillow talk.
We also have confirmed reports that Genduso is suspended WITHOUT PAY while they are investigating her.
Yes, both Anderson and Ristee will collect pensions. But we are told that Risteen was holding out so he could collect more at a certain pay rate, so that won’t be happening. Sure, it would be nice if they didn’t have a happy landing, but the bottom line is we are taking out the trash. We are helping to drain this swamp and make the Massachusetts State Police great again.

It is laughable that so many people feel that trooper Sceviour is some kind of hero. Talk to anyone that worked with him at Canton PD before he became a statie. Anyone one there will tell u that he is a dickhead and troublemaker.
Attorney Kesten is either the statie’s union lawyer racking up billable hours or he is lobbying for the lucrative union lawyer position. I doubt that the federal case will go very far because there was no attempt to change the elements of the crime in the order to “scrub” the reports. I hope these 2 young troopers realize that they will never be trusted during their career by any coworkers or superiors and rightfully so.

Is $150,000 that the average starting pay for a new state trooper who has no prior experience? Seems kind of high. My friends husband has been a police officer in a fairly large city for 17 years and I’ve seen his checks and he doesn’t make close to that. It took my husband, working at the same company for 19 years to make that much. I would love to know if other troopers make the same amount, or if that was another benefit you get for sleeping with the boss?
If you’re in the in crowd you can make that much.
I’m not sure how it is in the local departments but as for an MSP person, sure they can make a lot of money but they leave home to do it and when I say leave home, I mean you never see them except for when they come home to sleep …
No, it’s called working hard for your money. Base pay for a brand new trooper is around $70k- new troopers don’t get Quinn Bill. If you don’t like it, feel free to have your husband take the test. Enjoy never seeing him and wondering if he’ll come home at night.

My dad use to say, “La Benzine and Alcohol do not mix” and as you can see Police and Politics do not mix. To become the Colonel of the state police one is appointed by the Governor and then, Lt. Colonels and the Majors are appointed by the Colonel. So, as the old adage goes ” it’s not what you know ,it’s who you know” Maybe in the future every promotion in the MSP should be by exam only. This way it takes the politics out of process. Just saying.

Good they Journaled up and cited TBS. On the fed docs though, they would be crazy to cite such docs direct from a 3rd party source. Docs can be altered so easily nowadays, who knows where they came from, and I’d bet they’d been burned this way in the past. It would be prudent to also get the docs from fed repository as well. Of course, they could, have should, have noted first seen or referenced in the TBS piece. They are being D-bags by reporting “sources said” on the crazy bin and the non-arrest, we all know that came from TBS. So not sticking up for them, just the docs thing is a must to avoid a blow up.

Major Anderson married one of her superiors several years ago. Her husband Glen was second in command for the state police and retired in 2002 at the age of 59. I guess that he robbed the cradle, but he is sitting home with a pension of over $115,000. I doubt that they will be filing for an EBT card with their combined income from pensions.
Is that the same Glenn Anderson that lived in Grafton? As I recall right at the intersection of route 122 and route 30? That would make him about 74 years old now. So it looks like he married a younger woman. Rank has its privileges. In this case it didn’t guarantee he would get a prom queen. Guessing a second marriage. First time you marry for love, second time you marry for money!!

The corruption at MSP is out of control. Former MSP Superintendent Marian McGovern retired in 2012 due to a disability (heart disease). This enabled her to collect her pension of about $163K/year free of both State and Federal income taxes. McGovern’s predecessor, Thomas Foley, retired early in 2004 with the same disability, yet he was healthy enough to run for Worcester County Sheriff. McGovern was diagnosed with her condition in 2009, the same year she was appointed to MSP Superintendent by Small Deval. These people are frauds who are stealing from the government, and hence us, the taxpayers, by not paying their fair share of taxes. Many people live and continue to work after a diagnosis of heart disease. Because Marian McGovern, as MSP Superintendent was simply a desk jockey, are we supposed to believe that she could not safely do her arduous job of pushing papers, hiring and promoting drug dealers and money launderers? MSP flack David Procopio is quoted as saying McGovern’s condition will “require lifelong medication and management.” Well, no shit. Join the fucking club Marian of people who have to take a baby aspirin and Crestor every day and not eat fried cheese. And how the hell did that fat carpet-munching dyke Susan Anderson ever become a Major in the MSP? I guess when you’re that high in rank physical fitness requirements go right out the window.

Years ago I always was afraid and pulled into the other lane when I saw a State police car come flying up behind me and forcing me to cut into the other lane in traffic. Turns out they just do that all the time to be dicks and the speed limit doesn’t pertain to them, I would understand if they had blue lights and sirens blaring but they don’t?

I used to agree until I got a speeding ticket for accelerating from 70 up to 75 so that I could get around traffic in the middle lane and out of the cop’s way. To make the story even dirtier I was able to get the ticket fixed because I had someone contact the cop before his shift was over. This was a while ago so I’m not sure that still works

TB can you find out from the MSP Troopers that you talk to how it’s possible they get to keep their pensions when they retire effective immediately? Most departments (I’ve been a cop for 13 years) have stop gaps in place to stop officers from resigning effective immediately if an investigation is likely. In this case it’s not only likely an internal investigation will take place, but a criminal investigation as well.
Keep up the great work and keep the pressure on Baker and Healy to do something about this.

I don’t believe they get their full pension, probably a tiny fraction based on years of service. But, I agree that there should not be any pension at all when resigning in disgrace.
Criminal investigation can still continue after a resignation, but I’d bet that the union cuts an immunity deal in exchange for resignation.

You’ve completed your time of service and eligible for immediate retirement and collecting your monthly check.
