So yesterday we broke the false story that David Prouty students had walked out of class in protest of their corrupt administration. When we found out it was a hoax we decided to keep it up for two reasons. 1) We stand by our work, even when we are wrong. 2) We thought that the overwhelmingly positive response that this imaginary protest received on Facebook might inspire a REAL walkout today. And it did. And it was bad ass:
That was so cool. If you watched that video they were chanting “Where is Crowe?” because she was too gutless to come out of her office and even acknowledge that a good chunk of the student body was out there protesting what she has done to their school. Perfectly normal occurrence. I’m sure this happens to lots of superintendents. They can’t show their face at every single student led walkout. That would take fortitude and integrity.
Some kids have messaged us and told us that they have been threatened with suspension or not walking across the stage at graduation if they attended this. But OBVIOUSLY the school doesn’t have the minerals to do that. I wish they would try because it would almost definitely be the end of their reign of terror. That would be the straw that broke the camels back with parents for sure.
A bunch of turtle riders messaged us or posted on our Facebook pages about how they wouldn’t even bother with this school anymore. After that one sad young teenager, desperate for attention and approval from his peers, tweeted this hoax at us:

Since he was a trusted source who had previously given us reliable information, we took his word for it. Because that’s what reporters do. They put their faith in reliable sources. And when those sources fail them, they own up to it. That’s what we did.
Anyway, like I said, a lot of people have been telling us that they wouldn’t bother with David Prouty anymore. I mean, think about it. We’re literally the only media outlet that gives a shit about what’s happening here. It would’ve been completely ignored and this would have been allowed to continue. We’ve worked hard for them, and in doing so have developed a reputation as a trustworthy news site. And then some kid with low self confidence comes along and throws a bomb on it, just because.
If you want more proof of how detrimental this “prank” was, here’s Kevin Hayes’ quote from the Turtlegram today:
“It is unfortunate that students are being used and encouraged in the manner in which they are. This was not a walkout or demonstration, but a scheduled fire drill that was done for the safety of the students and staff,” he said.
Don’t you get it? You just gave the world’s biggest asshole the moral highground. We are all supposed to be uniting to take him down because he represents evil. So by playing this “joke” on Turtleboy, you’ve given administration the ability to say, “See, Turtleboy makes everything up. They can’t be trusted. You’ve all been fooled. We’re the good guys, not Turtleboy.” That tweet might’ve seemed like a harmless prank, but it damaged our reputation and helped Kevin Hayes strengthen his.
Here’s some things other students have written on our Facebook page about this:
A joke? We must’ve missed the LOL part. Hilarious. And on what planet was that tweet not directed towards a media outlet? Look at it again:
— Dave (@davidprooo) April 14, 2016
It was directed EXCLUSIVELY at one media outlet – Turtleboy. And it sounded legit didn’t it? Would’ve made total sense. Didn’t see any sort of signs that it was a joke.
Harmless? Yea, it was harmless to him. What does he care? He’s just trying to watch the world burn. He’s done with David Prouty for good in month. But to all the teachers and underclassmen and their parents, they’re stuck with these people. We’re trying to work together to expose them so the bad guys are forced to leave.
People who didn’t care about your school were willing to go to bat for you. They’ve been calling your state representatives. They won’t be doing that anymore, because who wants to go bat for some little ungrateful goober like that? If you think this was “harmless” then there’s no way around it – you are a moron.
Oh yea, and we didn’t “make fun” of him either. The commenters did. We can’t control that. But a great way to not get ripped apart by the hyenas in the comments section is to never become the antagonist in one of our blogs. This kid went out of his way to be the bad guy and he succeeded. This is exactly what he wanted.
LOL. I love how “adult” is in quotation marks. This is a huge problem with society in general. We treat adults in this country like children. Our grandparents were invading Normandy when they were 18, but this man can’t be counted on as a reputable source because he’s 18. Newsflash – there are 10 year olds out there who can tell the truth. You don’t have to be an adult to be an honest and decent human being. But please, continue making excuses for his behavior.
Yup, just a typical high school prank!! Jokes on us!!! Have you guys read our blogs before? Do you know what we are all about? We live to expose dooshnozzles. If you stick your head in a crocodile pit you don’t get to whine when you get your head chopped off.
Listen carefully children, because you obviously aren’t understanding this. We had to address the false story. Taking down the blog wasn’t an option because too many people saw it. An explanation was thus required. And please, tell me, how could we have possibly explained the reporting of this false story without mentioning your friend and his “prank?” Oh yea, you can’t. He was a central part of the story. He might’ve thought it was funny, but we didn’t. We don’t give a shit how old he is. He poked the turtle, and thus he was fair game. Normally we DESTROY people like him. But we never once spoke about his appearance, or looked into his background or anything like that. He got off easy.
This is just typical, everyone gets a trophy generation nonsense. Even when you’re naughty, you’re supposed to be rewarded. That’s the expectation according to this post. They want us to cover up for their friend? They want us to just “bury” this, and say it was a prank and a false lead? Why? He screwed us. And now we owe him a favor, because…..senior prank? Newsflash kids – that’s not how the world works, and now your friend knows it. Lesson learned.
What this kid is talking about was a few months ago 7 students were granted the opportunity to meet with the superintendent. They came in fired up but left in good spirits because she promised them she would put a door on the boy’s shitter. So they felt like they accomplished something. Then we came along and pointed out how they had been fooled, because poopers are supposed to come with doors. She didn’t actually give them anything. She played them and as you can see, it clearly worked. This kid obviously did not want to hear those unfortunate facts.
Here’s the best part. For all the bitching and the whining and the butthurt about their friend, he was loving every minute of it:
Good thing you’re going to bat for this kid!! He seems really upset.
Anyway, if you think this going to stop us from supporting David Prouty then you’re wrong. As you can see from today’s demonstration, there are lots of kids who still deserve the publicity we’re going to give to them. We’ve gotten a lot of messages from kids who have thanked us for this and who are embarrassed by the behavior of some of their classmates. These are the kids we’re fighting for, not the butthurt patrol.
The bottom line is that this is humiliating for Crowe and Jordan and Hayes. This is a district in complete and utter chaos. This is anarchy. And nothing less than the resignations of all of them will fix it. Resign or get fired. Only two options. We have plots for all of you in the Turtleboy graveyard.
We urge you to support the Turtleboy Sponsors by doing business with them. Without them none of this is possible. Click on any of them to check out their sites or Facebook pages.
